Bio

I am happy to help and share; all I ask is that you give me credit if you use my photographs on another site.

I am working on my family tree, always a work in progress. I am researching both sides of my family: my father's side of the family, the Holder/Owen and Walker/Smith families, including some of the lines that cross; I am also working on my mother's tree that include the Moorman, Tate, Musselman, Wright, and Mendenhall families, and quite a few of the families connected to them, including my son-in-law's Way family.

I have the Wayne County, Iowa Cemetery Book (but not the supplement), so I would be happy to look up grave locations.

I also have Volumes 1-7 of the Scarborough/Haworth (Some Quaker Families), and I would be willing to look up information for others from those books as well.

When I photograph headstones, I make every effort to make sure the names and dates are legible.

A little about us...

We began our new adventure in July 2011, traveling full time in our RV. Now that I am retired, I hope to spend time sewing, reading, hiking, bicycling, kayaking (when it's warm enough) and (of course) working on my family trees and creating memorials for my family members here. I am happy to help others when I can, and I try to help fulfill requests when I am walking cemeteries where we are staying. My husband has his own hobbies; however, he goes with me and is very helpful when we walk cemeteries, including taking time to clean a headstone so that it can be read more easily.
