I was born, raised and live in beautiful Northwestern Illinois. I love searching through old cemeteries for my family and helping others find theirs. I hope to get photos taken at many of the area cemeteries and posted on Find A Grave, as time permits. I am our family genealogist and love history and antiquing.|
Some of the family surnames I am researching: Lyon/Lyons, Johnson, Finkenbinder, Ortmeier, Knauer, Miller, Manion, Vertrees, Goodmiller, Machamer, Culbertson, Krugjohann, Handel, Schleuning, Oldham, Layman, Nalley, Millet, Edwards, Keck, Stone, Dubs, Lehman/Lehmann, Throne, Long, Clay, DeLong, Keeler
On my husbands side: Groezinger, Koepp, Gerner, Slonecker, Mapes, Osterday, Justus, Byrum, Beardsley

I'm related to Orville Handel's wife Gladys Benson Handel. I would be happy to transfer George Handel to you. I created memorials for the Handel family because I know they are buried in Oak Hill cemetery.

Thank you for the photo (Memorial# 73510373)of my husband's great grandmother's headstone. We hope to visit there next week. A couple of surprising mistakes by the monument engraver. Her name was Koehn, she obviously wasn't born on 31 June and her husband's name was Friedrich.
Would you have any more information on her, or, could you direct me to a local genealogy society who might? Thank you.

Sandy, After you get a chance to re-examine the 1888 grave I won't mind taking on all the Robbins family since I seem to have more information at hand. I can add more facts to Samuel Robbins also. I think the author of the Kent history was making assumptions, obviously not realizing that Mary Arminta had moved to Iowa and remarried in 1894. Her parents were in Galva, Ida, Iowa at least by 1885. Maybe I can even contact family members who have posted a photo of Mary Arminta on Ancestry. I am entirely convinced, though, that this is the grave of Arthur Robbins, 1876-1888. He shows up in the 1880 census but that is all.

Thank you for your corrections. I won't take on this family because they are just not close enough to me. May I suggest a few changes and we'll be done. I misspelled O'Brien in my write-up (this is the correct spelling).
I could only find a link to son Robert R Robbins 1883-1950, Canyon Hill Cemetery, #99463819, Canyon Co. Idaho.
I wonder if there is any information about Arthur Robbins, 1876-1888. You would think he'd be buried in Yellow Creek also. If you wander through there, he might be someone to look for.
Thank you for adding my information.
