Zelar - Siroka- Broz
I was trying to eliminate the half-sibling notation, but still have to check out the real half brother, Jos. Broz. Probably have to wait for my cousin to get home. Thanks, Joanie

Andro Zelar and Susie Siroka
Thanks for responding so quickly.
I just met with the great-grandson of Susie, his father is still alive at 90. He was the son of John.

As far as I know
Andro and Susie had four children
Andrew 1894 - 1991
John 1896 - 1979 were both born in Streator, IL

Dora 1898 - 1996 and
Mary 1900? - 1921 were born in Minnesota.
Then Andro Zelar was murdered.

Then abt 1903 Susie Siroka-Seroka married Joseph Broz Sr. There was a son Joseph Jr. I have always heard that he was her son by Broz.
So Joseph Broz, Jr. was the only half sibling. I think Jos. Broz, Jr. is buried in a military cemetery, but can't confirm it just yet.

My Mom and aunts thought a lot of their cousins, two or three cousins from Streator went to stay and help Aunt Susie after her husband was killed. I think one of them met and married there.

The spelling of the Siroka name is found on the birth/bap. records, but Susie's only brother changed the spelling to Seroka. The org. name was "Roman".

Hope this helps, I started doing the family tree back in 1970. Remember going to Chicago to find my grandfather Jos. Seroka (the only brother of Susie that lived) in the 1910 Census. Such small steps, now you can find your "whole" family online. Thanks again, Joanie

No, I wish I could help you, but I cannot, I didn't find any reference to Mary.

Troy Arndt
Hi Ms. Rhoadarmer.
I was going to contact the cemetery contact and ask about the headstone, and see if they were told about the name on the stone when permission was given to install it.
I have just joined findagrave, although I have be taking photos for someone else for some time. I see you have been doing this for awhile.
I will post back to you when I find out the reason for the Arndt-Bird name on the stone ,although I am sure it is the same person.
I think it is so good to give an identity to some of these forgotten people, especially the small children who died so long ago.

Plummer Family
Linda, There are 2 small stones behind the larger monument. One says Carrie and the other Susie. No other info on them. They look like they would be children.
On the sides of the main monument are Henry E. Plummer d. 1953 and George Plummer d. 1929. I will put photos on their respective memorials.
