More on William H. Noble
I found the relevant New York Militia records on

In the 1830s William H. Noble served as a Major and Lieutenant Colonel in the Militia's 167th Regiment, 7th Brigade, 21st Division, which included units in Cayuga and Seneca Counties. I'm going to add those details to Wikipedia and send them to the US House historian for inclusion in his Congressional biography.

I thought you might want to add them to the bio I sent you yesterday.

RE: William H. Noble, 62583567
I would think that the prefix "Hon." would be correct, since Noble served in the New York Assembly and in Congress.

His name on the memorial page currently reads "judge", and I can't find any references to indicate that he served in a judicial office.

I did include all the offices for Noble that I've found to date in the bio I sent you, including postmaster and town supervisor.

I'm continuing to research -- the death notice I found in the New York Evening Post and one other reference I found referred to him as "Colonel", so I'm trying to find out when and where he served in the militia.

I'll let you know what else I find.

You sent me a message through her listing asking if I'd like a copy of her obituary - yes, I would, please. Her memorial number is above.

Thanks very much.
