A farm wife in central PA, our family loves geocaching, which also take us to a variety of cemeteries. |
I'm researching the lines of Aikey, Brown, Confer, Oberdorf, Lumbard, Sulouff, Truckenmiller, and two Smith lines. Most of our families are from Anthony Twp, and the Forrest Hill area of Union Co, all in Pennsylvania.

Hi I saw that you requested a photo for this headstone. This cemetery is now a prairie and there are no headstones there. It is part of a forest preserve. If you go to the cemetery page there is a description there and some pictures. Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks for the response....An Air Force job is a great experience. I know your son will enjoy his time there.
|Michelle Kratts||Carrie Kerr Rank|
Hi Heather, I am Michelle Kratts from Niagara Falls, New York, and I am researching the story of Caroline Rank (a woman who had come to Niagara in 1912 from Watsontown) and suicided in our local library. Her suicide note asked that she be buried in Niagara. We have no record of this having taken place. However, it was said that this grave that you photographed is possibly hers. I have an old news article from 1982 that states that sexton Richard Cotner of Watsontown Cemetery noticed that although there is a stone for Mrs. Rank the records do not mention her actual burial. Do you know anything more about this? I would really appreciate any input. Thanks so much! We would love to "find" her :)
|Brad Hunt||Thank You|
Heather, thank you for photographing the graves of John and Hannah Ditzler! They are my 4th grt grandparents. I was surprised to get the notice as I received a notice yesterday that there was a problem reported. The volunteer said that the graves faced east and unless you took the picture in the morning you wouldn't be able to read them because they were so worn AND in German. Were these photos taken in the A.M.?
Is there more writing on the backs of these stones?
Anyway...thanks again! It is VERY much appreciated,

I had a list of burials from rootsweb. After looking at it I see that it says Josiah was buried at Baker's Cemetery known as First Lutheran of Selinsgrove. Do you want me to transfer this and Mary Stoner Duck to you. You seem to have a lot of info that someone would be interested in. Thanks and sorry for the mistake.

Heather, not sure if I thanked you for this photo, but would rather thank twice than not at all!! Sure appreciate all you photographers out there!! Thanks again, beth ><>
Thanks for the note Heather. I don't have much info on the Scharfs, but am looking for Harriet Black Scharf. I noticed you have a photo of her on your page!
