Hi, I am Billy .......|
(Last updated 16 Dec 2012)
Due to my Dad's death, I have taken over my dad's work on the Womble Family Tree. The Family tree goes back to the 1600's when the Wombles(Wombwell) came over from England to Virginia.((( Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Thomas Wombwell who settled in Virginia in 1648 ))) Sometime in the early 1700's the Wombles move to Edgecombe County, NC.
Edgecombe became a County 1741
Nash become a County 1771
Wilson become a County 1855
These are the 3 main Counties for the Womble
(The early years) ....
John Womble b.1756/d.1821
OFF of John William Womble b.1837/d.1904:
There are very few "Womble" (name Womble) left in Edgecombe County from the blood line. There is a lot of, next to kin, still there farming the home stead.
The Family Tree is not just of the Womble but it goes in all direction. You can follow the links I made on Fine A Grave. My dad did not take pictures of any headstones. SO, since I am out there anyway, why not take pictures of other headstones.
The County I will be going to is Harnett, Johnston, Wilson, Nash and Edgecombe, all in NC.
These are the main Counties.
I made this line for family members who would like to trace their family ancestry.
I prefer you to send me information on Find A Grave Memorial. Once I know there is an interest on that person, I will add the information and add some other information that I can find and sometimes I will start a family member search.(Trace their family tree) I love doing this and I do this for free.
Please do not ask for a Transfer just to own it.
Please add or contact me if you have family photos .......

|William Perry Deans Sr||Transfer of Memorial|
Would you please transfer the management of Memorials:
84688230 J.R. Deans
84687873 Bettie Lamm Deans
These two individuals are my grandfather and grandmother. They are my father, Robert Edgar Deans Sr of Wilson, N.C. parents.
The family does not want to disrupt the designation of Creator but only want Editorial Control of the content. This has been verified through Find-A-Grave as acceptable and appropriate.

|Barbara Blackburn||Josiah Horne|
Since all your tree seems to be Womble, I was wondering how a Horne got in there.. also where you got your information on Josiah.
He is the son of my 4th great grandfather, Abishai, and I am trying to fill in information on my tree but have been burned by not getting cites in the past.
Hope you are still into genealogy and will have some added information for me. Or if not, please write and tell me so as I will explore other sources.
thank you, barbara
|Sandi Danielle||Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery|
Hi there Billy :::waving:::
Happy New Year to you and yours!! :-) Suggestion ... In future, whenever you post a Cemetery, whenever possible, will you please also provide the physical "Street address" on the main posted page? :-) Example, the Philadelphia Baptist Church that you've posted is located on Philadelphia Church Rd. However, there is also a Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery located on DUKE RD in Nashville, Nash, North Carolina that also has a Cemetery located behind the physical Church. I'm concerned about this because I've noticed that a few people have been copying Obit info off the Web and posting it to the wrong Philadelphia Baptist Church on Philadelphia Church Rd, when the person's burial is in fact located on DUKE RD. :-) I'm going to have to contact Find A Grave to have those burials moved to the correct location because I'm not the manager of the Memorials and some who posted them, their accounts have been disabled. Anywho, I have requested that a few friends of mine who live in the area to go out to photograph as much of the Duke Rd Cemetery as possible. If you will identify your PBC as the "Philadelphia Church Rd" location, perhaps this will reduce the confusion (we Hope -) Thanks so much for Any assistance you can provide. Blessings, Sandi :-)

I was wondering if you could give me a source for Elma Frances (Langston) Bunn #104413380
you have her as the daughter of George & Blanche Langston; I have recently found North Carolina Deaths, 1931-1994 has her parents listed as an Ed Langston & Jane. I just want to make sure I have the right parents.

|Robin Womble Autry||your dad & a bible|
Your dad sent me a bunch of info 12 years or so ago and in there he noted info on the following family from the bible of Mattie Abrams Water. I was wondering if you had copies of the bible. I am applying to DAR. Thank you. Robin Womble Autry
Seeking proof of Nathaniel Green Womble (1802-1876) & Martha Frier's birth/death dates (1808-1856) as well as proof they had a son Isaac Womble (1841-1903). We have census, mc and all info on ancestry but DAR is seeking proof that Isaac is there son.
|Rachel Shaw||Cissero Womble|
I am working on the Womble lineage for a lady that would like to join DAR. Do you have a picture of Cissero's grave marker that is readable? I need both his birth and death dates. Thank you for your consideration and time to reply. Rachel Shaw firstname.lastname@example.org
I see you have taken some pictures of the Peacock Family Cemetery. Would you mind sharing the location of this one? I have researched at least three in Johnston County, NC.
I plan to make a trip there in the next two days if I have your information. If not by then, please send the info regarding the location anyway.

Mary Lee Womble was my grandmother. I noticed some information about her husband, my grandfather. I have more information to share. Are you Tommy Womble's son? Is there a way to contact you privately? Thanks!
