I live in Dutchess County NY, love my country and have a loyal respect and love for our American soldiers. I love history and found this site a wealth of information. |
Most of the Morgan's are from Delaware, The Caldwell's are from and Scotland and Indiana. Pilkingtons are from Kannapolis North Carolina, Smithville North Carolina and England. If you have a connection with my family line, I would love to hear from you.
Revelations 21:4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I just sent you some corrections on your grandfather thru the Edit tab. Death certificate and headstone show A. Hardie Pilkinton, no Steven. And entire death date is different. He died in Charlotte, not Kannapolis. He lived in Kannapolis and it was there that he was struck by a car. He was obviously taken to the big hospital in Charlotte and his death occurred there. All this from his death certificate. I also added in a full headstone photo on him. You might want to rearrange the photos.

Thank you very much for posting my Uncle Ike's grave to "Find a Grave". (He is Isaac Davis, a WWI veteran at the Beekman Cemetery, Dutchess County.)
I wonder if you might consider using the gravestone picture that I posted to his Find a Grave site. My pic is a little larger, and has the US flags.
With all the sites that you manage, if you ever find the need to transfer any of them, I would appreciate if you would pass my uncle's grave to me.
Thank you very much,

Thank you so much for your kindness to share and to transfer George's memorial to me. George's memorial number is 29137792 and is resting in South Dover Rural Cemetery, Wingdale, New York. Thanks again, Doris

Thank you for posting the photo and memorial for George. I would like to ask your permission to use the photo on my family tree with ancestry.com. I would of course, credit the photo to you. Please let me know if this would be okay with you. Thanks again, Doris

I don't know how to do transfers.

Wishing you and your loved ones; a safe and Merry Christmas, and may each of you, have many blessings throughout the New Year!
|Sue Caldwell||John Caldwell|
My husband is tied in with many of the family names you list (Shafer, Lantz, Winngs (Winans?), etc.
We have searched for 40 years for the parents of John Caldwell but have not been successful. John was married to Lydia Winans. John was born in 1797 and died in 1854. He was buried in Paint Creek Cemetery in Indiana. We have heard stories that his family was possibly from Scotland, but have never seen any proof substantiating that. Do you have any proof of parentage or where he was born?

William Morgan at one time was with my G-G-grandfather Isaac Messick in Nanticoke HD.
Could this be your William ? I have the census record. 1880 Delaware . Please look it up .to see if its the same one. He,and some children, wife..that was a Messick, Isaac Messick, & lydia Messick...Isaac`s wife was w/ him.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
