Mrs. John A. Hall Jody, Thank you for the work you do! I'm not sure why she was buried by her husband's name. Her sons buried her, I guess that was proper for the time. Her name was Lucinda Altman Yawn Hall; she married quite young, from Georgia and I hope & pray she had a good life. I use a wheelchair, so I know I would not have gotten this picture/memory if not for you. Thanks again, Janet Hall
HEZZIE RUSSELL The funeral of Comrade Hezzie Russell was held at the G. A. R. Hall at three o'clock Friday afternoon. Mrs. M. Puckett-Foster used as her text, Heb. 11:16, "But how they desire a better country that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not shamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city." Members of the G. A. R. gave the impressive ritualistic service. Interment was at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
transcriber's note: This could possibly be the same person as Obid C. Russell. The date of the newspaper obituary is of the right time frame for the death of Obid C. Russell.
