Bio and Links
Bio Photo I hope that what I submit to the findagrave database will be of help to Genealogists. Transcribed cemeteries lack everything but the names and dates, usually. It's a good starting point, however. I try to include as many details as I can in the records, using whatever resources are available. Just the facts, if you will.
I'm of Scottish descent (and YES, I do own a kilt and wear it when occasions warrant it), so it is of particular interest to me when I find early Scottish settlers here in South Carolina. Many stones will tell a saga of the Scots leaving their ancestral homes (known as "The Clearances" in some instances)to make a home here, in America. It's quite fascinating to read the stories written in stone.
I'm also a fan of DNA testing. I belong to Hapolgroup l1a. I suggest FamilyTreeDNA.
If I've recorded faulty information about, or you have information regarding, any names that I've added to the Findagrave database, then please email me. Put "Findagrave" in the subject area of the email, or I'll delete it as junk mail. I'm not a Find-a-grave elitist, but I do believe that any new information should be backed up with proof: Obits. Photographs. A scan of a page from the family bible. Whatever. Accuracy is important.

Finally, I work for a living. I'm not a retiree with oodles of free time on my hands. I tend to emails and requests as soon as I can, but sometimes commitments and familial obligations keep me from being Johnny-on-the-spot. Please be patient.

Thank you for your time and efforts to take photos and post them to Find A Grave for us! I appreciate you!

On Find A Grave # 12847133 you have Harold William Berzley His wife Lois P. Berzley (Maiden name is Plyler). Could you give her a number and also put a connection on both memorials so both spouses are seen? I have all info for both but others who are hunting may not know all info, so anything you can do to help with this would be great!

lewis s spears
I am new to this. I find this totally amazing. Lewis spears was my grandfather. My mom, was 5 years old, when he died. Family history, is so important. I want others to know, as well. He may have had a whole other family in Columbia! Little rascal !

David W Reynolds
Would you be so kind to consider transferring David W Reynolds to my care. I have been on ancestry and found that he is my 2nd cousin 1x removed. David W Reynolds memorial # is 17197215. I want to save this for my Grand kids. My dad was also in WW2. He is now 95 years old but blind and some dementia. Thanks you!

James K. Harbin
I accidentally added a message to this James' memorial. I meant to put the message on my brother James Kenneth Harbin's memorial. Sorry. Can you remove it or can I?

Noah K Crawford, Andersonville
Hi, TS -

Could the entry for Noah Keith Crawford be verified? Both the National Cemetery Administration and Veterans Gravesites listing on Ancestry list him as Noah "Kenneth" Crawford.

The memorial on Find A Grave is:

Record added: Aug 30, 2009
Find A Grave Memorial# 41330682

The National Cemetery listing can be verified at:

Thanks for your help. Noah Kenneth is the one I'm looking for :-)

Alice Simpson Seawright (14593289)

I don't know what happened earlier as my original message was deleted.

Would you mind transferring Mrs. Seawright to me as the Seawright's were friends of mine when I was growing up in Abbeville.

Many thanks,

Higgins-Porter Family Cemetery
Good morning,
I would appreciate it very much if you would transfer the burials you maintain at this small cemetery in Kershaw County to me. This is my family cemetery and those interred there are all my close relatives. I am the family member who plants the flowers, had the stones cleaned and checks on maintenance. I would like to be able to easily make corrections and add information to their pages too.
Thanks you for all you do.
