I prefer not to transfer her as she is my husband's direct line. I will add anything you like.

Lisa & Sam Witten
RE: Algernon & Rebekka Clement
Thank you so much for transferring Algernon and Rebekah Clement to us.
Algernon and Rebekah's daughter, Lucy Clement Witten is Sam's Great-Grandmother. Her son Samuel Clement Witten, Sr. (Clement) was his grandfather. We live on the farm and own the house that Algernon and Rebekah built in the 1870's. Our property is surrounded by property owned by Sam's cousins. Several of Sam's cousins as well as Lisa are really into researching family history. Some of his cousins have traced the family back to the Revolution and to Jamestown and are members of DAR. Lisa is working on both sides of our families to document heritage for our kids and finding documents for births, marriage and deaths.
It's really nice to meet another cousin and wouldn't it be something to have a reunion of Clement descendants.

Mary Willingham @ Mount Antioch Cem
Evening Gayle,
I just got back checking on 20 requests, 1 of which is yours. Of the 20, I managed to complete 10 of them.
In my opinion, Mary's resting place will -not- be located so, as such, I put a memo, ahown below, in the "problem" entry. Just wanted to make U aware that several of us have been trying over the years, just to no avail.

I have visited this cemetery many times over 5 years & found only one Willingham plot, of which the family plot foto shows everyone that has a marker.
I checked around and located several adult males & females unmarked but obviously there is no way to identify what remains belong to whom.
"If" she is buried in that plot, or cemetery for that matter, this grave will never be located.
Mother Nature & Father Time has won this battle.
Later, James Coston

Steve
Hennington-Flowers Cemetery
Hello. My name is Steve. We are probably related. I am a direct descendant of Richard Henington. He was my ggg grandfather and was a Confederate chaplain for the Mississippi Volunteers. I come down through his son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Margarida who is known as Maggie in my branch of the family. My brother and I went to the cemetery about 25 years ago and saw and took pictures of Maggie's tombstone. I figured the other folks buried there are probably relatives as well. Thank you for your work regarding this cemetery.

Sincerely,

D. Steven Maclin

RE: Memorial# 72983719
The Jeremiah F Cooper who died at Fort Donelson was the son of Fredrick J Cooper and Sarah Downing. He was born in Illinois in 1840. He and his bother William Cooper, my second great grandfather, both enlisted in Company I of the 11th Illinois Infantry at Lacon, Illinois. Jeremia enlisted Sep 1, 1861. William enlisted NOV 1, 1861. My GG Grandfather was present and was wounded at Fort Donelson when his brother died.

I believe the Jeremiah F Cooper described in the current posting survived the war and was living in Indian Grove Illinois in 1870. See below:

Files Valley Cemetery
This relates to the status of the cemetery in Files Valley, TX. In the 1970s, a board was established to oversee maintenance of the cemetery. All of the board members are now deceased. In order to insure some level of maintenance going forward, a new board should be established. A meeting seems necessary to reestablish the board and the first group to make contact with, before going to the general population of the community, in my opinion, should be those FindAGrave Contributors who have shown an interest and demonstrated some effort to preserve the memory of those interred there. If you have experience in managing small cemeteries and/or the interest to participate in this process, please contact me via email at bmcever@sbcglobal.net.

Regards and thanks for all your work for FindAGrave.
