RE: Elizabeth Stites Schenck
Hi Dee,
You mean I added her on the 6th of last year ;)
I usually look in cemeteries of german names or other european names and add them. I guess he was not buried right next to them otherwise I would have add him. Do you know when he died?

And the change is also made already.

Jess

Dee,
I am NOT family, just entering the photos I took. And the death certificate was from Ancestry. I don't have a hard copy. I didn't know if it was her, but there were enough similarities to forward it on. Hope it helped! Ellen

RE: Giles dates
George and Mary are good friends of mine. George passed away several years back, Mary is still alive living in Middlesex with her daughter debbie. My parents are also from plainfield. If my dad were alive he would be 100 years old today

RE: John & Rebecca Cutright Photos
Unusual for me, but I put my thinking cap on and found the original photo that was sent to me. It was actually POSTER size, so I had rolled it up & put it in a corner after I had a downsized version made. This was sent to me by Raymond Wolfe who at the time was living in Indiana - I think he later moved to WV to do research - not sure he is still living. John & Rebecca are together in the original which was made from a tintype that he said was made in 1844. They are my husband's gr-gr-gr-grandparents.

John & Rebecca Cutright Photos
I have had these for probably 30 years and don't know if I can provide the source now or not. I do know it came from someone in WV. I'll check my Cutright folder and see what I can come up with. Will let you now what I find.

RE: Arthur Nelson Taylor
Thanks for the feedback. I am relatively new at this system. When I got the original e-mail from Find A Grave, I had thought it was only sent to me. I did not realize that it was sent to all who are active in this zip code and that I was suppose to "claim" the picture. So I went out to the cemetery as it was a sunny day. I went to the church office, found the "Taylor" grave and some 10 additional graves that had not been photographed. I came home, cleaned up the photos and started to upload them to the web site. It was then that I saw that another individual had "claimed" the photo. So I just uploaded my photos as "add a photo" and sent the person an e-mail explaining my mistake. I think she then "unclaimed" the person and I later tried to "fullfill" the request. End result was that the system never did seem to reflect correctly that there were now pictures of the stone. If you have the time, I would encourage you to go out and photograph the stone. I was not able to get a very good picture of it. Hopefully next time I will follow the correct procedures so that the computer will be "happy" with me.

Thank you
Thank you for the update. I'd hate to see them build over it.

RE: Sutherland Family Cemetery
Hi Dee -

The Sutherland Family Cemetery is about a block from where I live in Springfield, Virginia. There are no markers at all; we only know that it is a cemetery from the Fairfax County Cemetery Survey. I got the burials from the Fairfax Co. survey.

A developer has been trying for years to gain access through the cemetery in order to build some houses on the property behind. The story is that some of the descendants of the Sutherlands and Halls are willing to grant the access, but other descendants threaten to sue.
