Thank goodness it is time to update my bio. Less than two years ago when I first joined Find-A-Grave, I was having trouble just identifing my grandparents! But now I can proudly say not only do I know now who they were, but I actually have photos of some. To me this is a miracle, I have discovered living DeLoach relatives that were unknown to me and through their kindness the puzzle has finally come together. So I want to send special "Angel" kisses to: Sybil DeLoach Safrit, David W. Day, Linda DeLoach Pitts and Brenda DeLoach Blount. And if not for Pamela C. Kelley and Sue Smith Ferranti in AL the branches of my Smith family tree would almost be bare. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me my past. I love you Edmund, thank you for allowing me the time and understanding my need to do this. Susan
P.S. I just want to say thank you to those who took the time to stop & leave flowers & notes for my Mom: Mildred B. Franklin, my Dad: James C. DeLoach, his brother: Fred D."Junior" DeLoach & my sweet Mother-in-law: Ana Maria Uribe. If you have a minute please stop by & visit my best friends Bonnie T. West & Desiree Holliday. Special prayers to angels, Sherrice Iverson and Joella Reaves who were taken far too soon. Please visit the memorial left for Eugenia B. Day by her husband of 42 years, David W. Day. "Jeanie" was a beautiful woman with a zest for life, she is loved & missed by her family so much. David has become a very good friend,(also my 4th cousin, once removed) helping me trace my Georgia roots and providing me with so many photos that have helped connect me to my ancestors. Thank you, David. God Bless All of You! | |

 | DeLoach Family Hello Susan,
I am also a DeLoach descendant. Isaac DeLoach is my 4th great grandfather via his son, Joseph Asa DeLoach, down to his son Jesse Martin "Bud" DeLoach, to his daughter Willi Jo Delaoch Moody via her daughter Dorothy Moody Henry to my mother then me.
I have a bit more info in case you didn't have it -
Isaac is the son of:
Ephraim DeLoach, born in 1777 in Beauford, SC. Died 1819/1822 in SC. and Sarah Durrence, daughter of Welcome William Durrance & Elizabeth Williams. Sarah was born in 1783/1784 in SC. Ephraim and Sarah married about 1801.
Ephraim is the son of:
Hardy DeLoach Sr, born 1735 in Old Edgecombe, NC. and died after 1820 in Old Beauford Dist. SC. and Elizabeth Hart, born 1730 in Edgefield, Saluda, SC / Edgefield Co. SC. and died 1820 in Effingham, GA. Hardy and Elizabeth married about 1757 in Old Beauford Dist. SC.
Hardy DeLoach Sr is the son of:
William DeLoach Jr, born 1702 in Old Surry, VA South Wark Parrish, VA. and died After 1765 in Lynches Creek Kershaw, SC. and Judith Wall, daughter of Richard Wall & Lucy Grimes. Judith was born about 1707 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish and died About 1767. William & Judith married about 1725 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish.
William DeLoach Jr is the son of: William DeLoach Sr, born 1678 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish and died 3 Mar 1746/1747 in Brunswick, VA. and Eleanor Collins, daughter of John Collins & Eleanor Oliver. She was born about 1783 and died About 1750.
William (I) is the son of: Michael Desloges (DeLoach), born about 1645 in France or England. He died in 1698 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish.
Michael immigrated from either France or England, though reseach says he was part of a French Huguenot refugee family. He arrived in Virginia in 1663, sailing from Bristol, England. He arrived as an indentured servant to Charles Taplady and served as a Tailor. At some point he anglisized his surname from DesLoges to DeLoach. It is belived that all persons in the United States with the surname of DeLoach, DeLoache, DeLoatch, or any of the other variant spellings, is a descendant of Michel DesLoges. and Jane Griffith, the only child of Rowland Griffith, a wealthy land owner. Jane was born about 1650 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish and died About 1719 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish. Jane and Micheal married about 1668 in Isle of Wrights, VA New Port Parrish. | | | Dorothy George Taylor

 | RE: Tommie & Lamerle DeLoach Yes Susan...they are my grandparents. I have DeLoach , Crowder, and Royal family in the cemetery in Langdale, Alabama. I sent a message earlier to another findagrave person about getting some family memorials transferred to me as I have info and pictures I'd like to add and it seems such a chore to have to send to someone and them have to do it since they have so many pages they work with. I've not heard from him yet. I just thought I'd try to take the load off a little by handling my own family memorials if it's possible and those who set up the pages want me to. I've run across your name on several pages it seems. Do you set up memorials or have I just run across you because perhaps we have a common ancestor? Glad to get your note! | | | Toni Hamlin Dunn
 | Thank You Susan My Name is Toni Hamlin Dunn & because of you,I finally found out about my Grandfather, Luther Hanson. I have searched for several yrs. but because he died when my mother June was so young,we knew very little about him. My grandmother,Marguerite Ledford(maiden name)Johnson, never talked to us or her, evidently, about Luther! My Mother thought she was around 3 when he died when actually she was almost 5,which was kind of shocking. If there is anything else you know about him through other relatives,I would love to know,as would Charles & Wayne"s families..sadly my Mother passed in 2001 but both of his son's are still living. Most of us live in or near Gadsden,AL Charles is a very gifted guitarist and Wayne is retired Air Force. They both have 2 daughters each. Once again Thank you so much! | | | Dana Cook
 | RE: Mary Darcus Brewer I'm sorry Susan. I don't know what you are talking about. I searched for this name on my page and I don't have it. It doesn't sound familiar to me. | | | T.J. White
 | We're cousins! Hello Susan,
I just found your Find-a-Grave posting for Sarah M. White Norred, your 2nd great-grandmother. She was a daughter of Henry M. White (born 1814) and Martha E. White (born Dec. 1813, died after 1900). Martha was also a White before marriage, and was a younger sister of William Wilson White (1800-1895) of Fulton County, Ga.--my 4th great-grandfather. (He also has a F-a-G page.) Their parents were Jacob "Jake" White (1772-1861) and Sarah Williams. Please contact me either via F-a-G, or via my email, tjwhite1963@gmail.com, to discuss this. I have also written extensively on these early Whites. Here is the best example: http://www.scribd.com/doc/94363394/An-Atlanta-First-Family-the-White-Family-of-Dekalb-and-Fulton-Counties-Georgia . Also look up my history of Utoy Primitive Baptist Church, at which several of these early Whites worshipped, here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/95681776/Utoy-Primitive-Baptist-Church . I've been trying for years to find living descendants of your branch of the White family! Finally found one! Yay! I very much look forward to hearing from you! Regards, your distant cousin, T.J. (Terry) White (Find-a-Grave #47631549)
