The Nelson Family
Hello James - I believe we might be somewhat related...I am Martha Minnesota Nelson Asay's great, great grandaughter. She was a sister to Eliza Nelson Tucker.

I kind of tracked you through findagrave hoping to connect with anyone who knows anything about the Nelson/Masters line. There has always been a story in our family that our "Asay" line had Indian heritage and it was believed it came from Martha Nelson or her husband Solomon Asay - but in tracing names and dates etc. I've never found anything in regards to anyone being Indian. Just wondering if had ever heard this about Martha or Eliza or any of their relations, either William Nelson or Margaret Masters - the Masters line seems to come from Germany but I sure don't find too much on the Nelson line.

Thanks!
Carolyn Carolla

Samuel Potter
You submitted a photo for Samuel Potter on findagrave.com in Kimmons Cemetery, Adams County, Illinois. I wonder if you were able to read the dates and the age of Samuel?
There were two Samuels in the area close to the same age. One of them is my g.g.grandfather.
Thanks, Janell Keuler

Re: Hunsaker
James,

My name is Chad Kendell. My number is 47022398. I have numerous "Hunsaker" relatives who lived and died in the Quincy area. I believe many are interred in Quincy Memorial. I can't find any tools on-line, cemetery phone number, etc. to confirm any of the information. Do you have any contact information of someone that I can find to verify any of my information? Thanks.

RE: Mordecai Bane
Yes, James, we are related, thru the same Mordecai. Mordecai Bane and Elizabeth Beeler had Mordecai Ensley Bane (1820-1897). He married Sarah Amanda Blodgett, and they had Lydia Virginia Bane. Lydia married Windfield Scott Murray. They were my great grandparents. Their son, my grandfather, was Aaron Bane Murray who married Charlotte Evangeline Dorris. They had my mother, Beulah Fay who married Alfred Wolber. If you would like access to my tree, let me know.
We are 4th cousins.
I live in NOrth Vernon, IN. Most of my family is in CO and KS.
Glad to meet you!
Charlotte

Martin families: Pleasant Valley, Marshall, Wests Virginia
Just spent some time with the Martin family at the Martin Family cemetery. With a side trip to Jotham Martin #30527967 at Blue Hill Cem., Blue Hill, Webster, Nebraska.

Have been working on a tree for a very large family from Greene co Pa the past few weeks. These are collateral members. As a cluster genealogist, I am esp. pleased to find this family.

So glad you put them on FindAGrave for those of us who can not get to the grave sites.

I was very glad to get the data included, which will be added to enrich the tree members. Those Greene co ancestors I spoke of, went on to Il, & some of the children came on to IA. So I spend a lot of time along the FindAGrave trails as they were moving westward.

Many thanks to you for this rich series of family documentation.

Thanks!
James, thanks so much for taking a photo of the grave of my grandparents. I have never seen it and likely never will so those photos are very special.
