I am a retired federal employee who has been involved in chasing my families ghost for more than forty years. For the past dozen I have enjoyed helping other researchers gather data from western Iowa, where I know call home. A number of the local cemeteries have been walked and recorded in the past yet now with the digital age surrounding us, it appears as they once said, "A picture is worth a thousand words." So as not to be wording I have invested in a digital camera and look forward to helping more folks.|

I was gone for two weeks over the Holidays is why I was so slow in answering your mail.
Thank you for the additional information for Thomas Lundy Lemon and his wife Lucy. You are right that Thomas was born in Perryton Twp. but Find A Grave does not allow us to list a township so Preemption was right next door and where they pretty much did all their business so I chose Preemption, the town.
I am trying to gather ALL of the Lemon Family information that I can so anything you could help me with I would be greatly appreciative.
That was and interesting story about Lucy. I never would have found her.

Glad to help others with their family research.

Your memory serves you well...that's exactly where they are. I live very close to that cemetery and have never gone there until Monday. The 1904 bldg that houses the mausoleum is absolutely gorgeous. No expense was spared in construction and decoration.

Sorry but I do not manage her memorial page and thus cannot connect her to her parents. That would be Jessie Lefler who you would contact to make the connection.

Norm, Thank you for the picture of John and Sophia's grave sight. I see the spelling of the last name is different also the year of Birth which is not uncommon when researching.
Looks like I have more research ahead of me. :)
Thank you again, Marilyn
