Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy since 2004. I am retired and live in Gambrills, Maryland. My main genealogy interests are in Western Maryland and S. Central Pennsylvania. My wife is also involved in her genealogy in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. We visit cemeteries to find our ancestors' stones and markers. I enjoy photographing the monuments.

Main families of interest are Minnich (Minich), Keefauver, Lemen, Harsh and Stone, Craig, Lydic, and Buterbaugh. Others are Johnston, Swonger, Lloyd, and Miner.

If I have made a duplicate, please contact me and it will be deleted quickly. Use edit button to add corrections. Also, since only five free photo spots per person are allowed in findagrave, please do not add unnecessary photos to any memorials. Obituaries should be typed in the Bio sect and not added as photos. Transfers may be made if you ask using the EDIT button and also state relationship. You have my permission to use my grave stone / marker photos for your private use. For any use of my family or my rescue-orphan photos please contact me. Hopefully, you will source or link the photos. It never hurts to give someone credit for helping you.

I have been purchasing "orphan-rescue" antique photos with names sufficient to search and find a 'home' for them. Some success has been had. There are photo albums of Hellyers (Seneca F., etc. - PA) and Hopkins (Arthur, Lewis, etc.) that are awaiting family.

I am a friend to all and will help where possible.

Findagrave is as good as we make it.

THANK YOU for the photo for Ernestina Neugebauer.

I also received a suggestion from you. I'm not sure what it is. If you would let me know I'll take care of it.

Photo 110243074; add to 71402055
Please, would you add the photo & caption that you posted to 110243074 Allen Goodwin to his daughter Miss Grace May Goodwin 71402055 (also pictured in the photo.)

It would be a wonderful thing to add the lovely photo of Grace & her family to her Find A Grave memorial. Grace is buried alone in an unmarked grave. I also am not related, but it would warm my heart to see the photo brought home also to Grace.

With much appreciation,
Susan

Or if you prefer, you may give me permission to copy & transfer the photo.

Myra McDade
Hi Mike,

I was recently in the antique store in Hagerstown and I bought a photo of Myra McDade...it says "Myra Lillian MacDade" and "sweet sixteen" on the back. Apparently you bought another copy of this photo or perhaps you took a picture of the photo while in the store.

I was going to scan it and upload it to FindAGrave, but I see you beat me to it!

I found an obituary for her on Newspapers.com, and I'm going to send it to the person who created Myra's entry on FindAGrave. I found a few other photos in the store with names on the back, and I'm going to see if I can find a home for them online. Take care.

Thanks so much, Michael, for the great photo you took of Ronald's headstone. I love seeing the Memorial Pages with the photos and connections to family...it's like we're bringing them all back together again...and leaving a legacy for future generations. Thanks for your time and effort in filling my request.
