Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Name is Ronald A. Sykes, Sr, and have been working on my family History for over 40 years.

Any additional information, adding bio's, changing .or adding names, dates and location can be done, without asking me, by hitting the edit button.

With the new system of FaG, I OK the links, and changes, without question. However, this also means, I may or may not have linked or corrected memorials.

I am more than happy to any correct a problem, or link family members. As far as Transfer goes, please look at the rules set down by Find a Grave, before asking. I will take a look on a case to case basis, but normally follow those rules. Demands from, or rude people are always ignored. If you would like credit for something added, either put it in the bio section, or let me know and I will add it for you.

I normally make all requests within 24 hours. If not, don't worry, I will get to it. Sometimes, I take a day off, too.

AGAIN. I follow the rules of Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case to case bases. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.

You My permission to use any of my Headstone photo, for your personal use.

Thank you very much. I'm not sure this was the best way to send the bio or not but I really appreciate it.

Gumz family
Hi, I believe we may be related. I just found the beautiful memorial you put together a few years ago for my 3rd great grandmother Wilhelmina Gumz. I am her ggggranddaughter through her son Ernest (my 2nd great grandfather), his daughter Mildred (my great grandmother), her daughter Sandra (my Grammy) and finally her daughter Candace (my mom). Is there any chance that you would be willing to share what you've learned with a cousin(?) who is still a "green" genealogists? 😊 My grandma didn't know much about the Gumz history. In fact, she wasn't even sure of her grandmother's name. She always told me "they came from a time children were seen and not heard. It wasn't appropriate to ask personal questions and it wouldn't have been tolerated." Which makes me extremely eager to learn about this part of my family! If you'd like you can email me at

Thank you!

Harry S Lewis
I just wanted to let you know that Minnie Lewis who shares the same grave as Harry S Lewis is his sister rather than his spouse. Both of them never married. Aunt Minnie was my grandfather Arthur Lewis's half sister.

Thanks, Carol
