My home town is Westport, Co Mayo, Ireland.|
I joined FAG while researching my Ancestors who emigrated to Chicago.
I have realised my dream - travelled to Chicago and visited 3 of the graveyards where my Ancestors are buried.
Most of my Memorials/Cemeteries are in Ireland. If you find a relative and wish to add/change information,please feel free to contact me.
Most of my Memorials have Graveshots. I flower all my Memorials and link them with relative's. Ones that may not have Graveshots are my own relatives where I have not located their resting spot, although I know the Cemetery.
I am happy to transfer Memorials to Family Members, however my photographs are copyright and I would like to be notified should anyone require a copy of same.
Thank You to Jim and Tammy who have helped me find the resting place of my Lavelle Family in NY.
In the early part of 2012 I set up the Mayo Genealogy Group in Castlebar, we have monthly meetings in the National Museum of Country Life, Turlough.
We have set up a Facebook Page, if you would like to join and post queries about your Mayo Ancestors check out our page.

Thank you Dympna.....so much....am now a member...and posted
|Dee Townsend||Westport, Co. Mayo|
So glad I found you...my great grandparents were from Westport; James McFadden b. 1821, and Mary E. Needham, b. 1829. Years back I wrote to Co., Mayo Genealogy office and sent $25..they researched and found Jim and Mary's wedding bands and the baptism of their daughter Bridget. They advise that it would be foolish to spend more money as they came from peasant stock and any records might be questionable. I do know Mary's little brother came over - Austin Needham, b. 1842, d. at the Civil War Battle of Atlanta, Georgia in 1864...and his father Michael Needham, who remained in Westport received a U.S. pension for Austin's service in the war. I'm really just writing this because it is real neat to find someone from "their home town"....thanks for listening.....

You're welcome! Was Father Waldron born in County Mayo? If so, I will add that to his memorial.

|May Bogdan||RE: Re John Daley|
Yes, the grave is an Irish one. John came from county Kerry Ireland. He married Ann Shanahan from county Kerry (Tullamore). I have added his son Joseph's grave and Joseph's wife Ann. Thank you bunches for the flowers on Johns grave as I said before. If you could attach the picture of Joseph & Anne stone to Joseph Daley & Ann Lipke Daley it would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking over my gg grandfather's bio and found you left flowers (Rose) on May 06, 2010. I was wondering if you were connected to John and the Daley's and if you are do you know anything about his family?? I know nothing except his wife and children's names. If you are not connected then I thank you anyway for leaving the flowers.
|C.Clifford||Thank you so much!|
Dympna thank you so much, today I found my sister thanks to one of your photographs. Debbie had left a comment on the photo of our grandparents grave that you had posted. I spotted it yesterday, sent her a message thinking she might be a cousin but it turns out two very excited sisters have found each other! We were both put up for adoption and incredibly we grew up within less than 2km of each other but neither of us knew about the other until today. Find A Grave Memorial# 46490962

|lori russell||Mytrle L Thompson- Courser|
Myrtle L Thompson Courser is my great Aunt. My mothers aunt.. I don't believe that John C Thompson is her father? I strongly believe that Charlie James Thompson and Olive A Sherman are her parents. From Fenwick, Michigan. Her brother Ferris is my grandpa. She is buried in Clear Lake Cemetary. Does anyone have the correct information on this? Olive and Charles are in Clear Lake too. I do know she married The Courser person. I have proof of all this. Can someone fix her parents name?? Thanks Lori
