I am currently in Oregon, but I grew up in Utah. When I moved to Oregon I found I was living right in the middle of the area where my maternal Grandmother's family settled after arriving on the Oregon Trail.|
I am working on all of my family lines and try to find gravestones for all of them. Here are a few surnames I am working on:
In Oregon, I am working on Bennett, Tatom, Ramsdell, and Caldwell on one side of my maternal Grandparent's line and Bussell, Reed, and Montgomery on the other.
All over the south and southern Midwest, I am looking for Russell, Murphy, Burrous, and Woodward.
In the North Eastern States I am looking for Ramsdell and Crary.
I would be happy to take photos for anyone needing them in the Corvallis, Albany, Philomath, Monmouth, Dallas area.

You are very welcome! You never know with stones like that!! :)
|Linda Jenkins Werts||Clara Ramsdell|
I've created a memorial and posted photos for Clara Ramsdell in Lone Fir Cemetery, Portland. Is she one of your?

It's always nice to hear that a headstone photo has provided or confirmed information about a family member! I was happy to be able to help fulfill your request. If you're interested, you can get a free online copy of John and Ida's Marriage Certificate at the Washington State Digital Archives site. Good luck with your family research!

You are very welcome. It was starting to get dark and I was having trouble with my camera and so I was hurrying. I noticed when I loaded them onto the computer, that the picture of the double stone was hard to read but went ahead and used it. I live very close to there and do plan on going back over there to take more pictures and I intend on taking another picture of the double headstone that will be clearer when posted to the memorial.
I have linked her to her parents. Would you like her transferred to you?

I have made the additions to their memorials. If you would like, I would be glad to transfer their memorials to you. You may add the photo either way. You do not have to manage a memorial to add a photo. I found their marriage on Ancestry, 12-31-1893 in Bienville Parish, LA.

The building in one of the photos is an old church which is not being used for anything now. There was a family at the cemetery that day cleaning it up. It has been a labor of love because this is a REALLY old cemetery and I don't think there are any funds for upkeep. I am glad you liked the photos. Have a great week!

Thank you so much for your kind reply. So if you descend directly from Isaac Tatom, Sarah's brother, then Isaac's parents are your Great Great GReat however many Grandparents as they are mine. Sarah's your GGGG Aunt and Isaac my GGGG Uncle. Haha! Amazing, isn't it? No, I'm born in San Francisco and still live her. My mother was from Dallas, Oregon where most ALL of the Tatom's are buried in the Dallas Cemetery in Polk County. ;) Marky Quayle,

I saw your note that included Tatom as some family name you're interested in: I, too, as I just tonight learned my Great Great Grandparents names! Pretty cool. Ella May Tatom Kraber, their daughter and my mom's mom' mom. Her father's parents' names are listed William and Sarah "E" . Do you know what that "E" stands for? Thanks! Marky ;)

I re-read the obit and it is such an interesting one. I added it to the site.
