RE: Lydia Johnson
it's fine. it is really more about your attitude than anything else.
prime example... when i came along, you had NO information in about Ambrose Pharr, his children, their children, nothing... which is unfortunate.. but, with 250,000 memorials I can see why. And i do not begrudge that. But, I do think it is about power for you and nothing else. According to YOUR OWN numbers, you have only transfered 0.0002% of your listings. Thats right. 1 out of 4,800. (And you want folks to believe that the other 4799 are never justified. I doubt it. I think you just get off on the power.. and so yes, I have offered you money. Because usually those who seek POWER, are always seeking Money. They go hand in hand I guess.

BUT, the transfer policy states EITHER within the 4x rule, OR when there are MULTIPLE changes to be made. (And that is the one that you seen to have an issue with)... It may just be the way you come off to me and a bunch of other people, but you often are curt, dismissive, just outright ignore a request, and appear to have ZERO compassion for folks. So, I guess it is that old saying.... its not what you say, its how you say it.
But, nevertheless, even though I give a bunch of basic info on Ambrose, Nancy, Lydia etc.... You apparently still maintain that YOU, and ONLY YOU are competent and qualified to give these memorials the honor they deserve. And to me, it just looks like you give them the BARE MINIMUM attention as they were "blank profiles" when I came along, and even after giving you information to add to all of them, you have still made ZERO effort to give them the honor they deserve. (Maybe because according to the numbers you are too busy hostage taking at the astronomical rate of 100 listings a week)... That right there also says that all you care about is getting the listing... let others edit if they like, but your NUMBER 1 priority is to take as many hostages as you can. For you it seems to be all about (as another poster said) Hostage taking. It is almost that you get some kind of thrill about it. So, because you appear to be motivated by that kind of power, control, etc... Yes, I have offered you everything except for my first born to get but 1 or 2 of your memorials that I have a DEEP connection with, who I am spending thousands of dollars to update their REAL memorials, and publishing their REAL stories... and you.... for you.... it CLEARLY not about the "Mission/Vision" of this site, but rather about "how many bodies you can control and having people have to beg and plead for you to have any flexibility at all. It is sad. (And I think you know that, otherwise you would not be "masked" by an artificial name and would instead be PROUD of your actions.) Instead, you do it in secret because you know its morally wrong.
And also, I would point out that you play that "busy card" really well. It takes about the same time to transfer a VAILD transfer as it does to belittle someone, depose them on a change, and say no. And yet, as we see, you had time to say no real fast and say that I have somehow threatened you. I have not. I just think you are a hostage taker.. thats all. Thats not a threat. But regardless, somehow, by magic, you are able to research and say NO at lightning speed, but it takes you "weeks" to transfer a valid claim. (Funny how that "busy card" is a convenient one for you). Sorry, I just call it as I see it.. and clearly I am not the only one who sees it that way. (Dont get me wrong... you provide a service... but let no one be fooled, you leave the heaving lifting.... the editing to others... all you want is to create the listing, and never ever have anyone else's name as doing any part of it. Thats why you dont maintain your files... you sit back and wait YEARS for someone else to do edits for you while you are entering ann average of 1 new memorial every 12 minutes..... 24 hours a day/7 days a week. So, I TOTALLY understand why you prefer to be incognito. Very Cordially Yours, W. Brent Holland, PROUDLY owning my comments and not HIDING and HOSTAGE taking.

RE: Susan Carroll #83485495
Sorry I have taken so long to get in touch with you. I didn't think to look here for a question on documentation for Sue Hill Carroll's death place.
The U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014 lists her last residence as Rockport, Aransas, Texas, USA.
The Texas Death Index, 1903-2000 lists the county of Aransas as her place of death.

I am a 1st cousin 1x removed of Sue Carroll. I was at her funeral in Rockport, Texas, in March of 1998.

RE: Clarence Elder #85873746
I have been busy and I haven't had a chance to look into it. We are in the process of selling our house so I really don't have time for research right now. I'll look into it once we are settled.

RE: Bobbie Calkins
Thanks so much for correcting my father's name. No apology needed, I'm glad people like you care enough to catalog the graves especially since some of the persons buried might not have living family in the area to do so. If you would like to transfer the pages for my parents Bobbie and Rosemary Calkins over to me I'll be happy to take care of their pages, I will also add a photo of the gravestone when the new one I will be ordering to replace the old flush mounted one is in place. Thank you again.

Rebecca Blake DeGroat
Hi LostGeneration,
I have reason to believe Rebeccah was born in Vermont because eight of her siblings (4 full- 4 half) were also born in Vermont. Her mother, Lucy Goodell Blake, (1793-1821) died during a blizzard in Vermont in Dec 1821 and is buried there. Find A Grave Memorial# 49480161. Rebecca was her last child, and was 13 months old at the time.
Rebeccah's father, Harrison Gray Blake (1788-1868) Find A Grave Memorial# 71209075, married a Vermont woman, Sybil Williams (1800-1864) and 4 of their eight children were also born in Vermont.
In the 1880 US Census, Rebecca lists Vermont as her birthplace.
Hope this helps : )

RE: And herein lay the confusion... John P. and Margaret Kohut Gallagher
Your welcome, and thanks for the "Gallacher" catch! Guess sometimes we see what we want to see!

I'm new at this corresponding via Find a Grave so what is your preferred method, you just want it kept to the edit page or is there another not so public way to communicate?

Sees like we have a lot of shared surnames so in the future if there is another way you want to communicate just let me know.

memorial # 163159677
Greetings Lost Generation!
Dropping you a note to send my appreciation for the time you devote to this web site. Your care in creating memorials actually helps many of us with our family tree quests. I am not looking for a transfer, as the soul in memorial # 163159677 is not my relation but that of my sister-in-law whom I am assisting with her genealogy. It is because of the kindness of volunteers like you, that some of us can break thru the brick walls of our research challenges!
Thank You!
