Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I are both retired and enjoy researching family. We have photographed many grave markers in the Southeast and are willing to help others who want pictures of their ancestors' graves. Our families are names Blankenship, Cameron, Ellison, Whitman, Bolan, and Mitchell plus other related families. Both of us were born and grew up in Alexander City, AL where we still live. We have 4 sons and 11 grandchildren.

Thank you for documenting the Bice Cemetery. Many of my relatives are buried there. My Grand Mother was Nancy Bice Steverson and my grandfather was Joseph Lloyd Steverson.

Lora Jane Walker Bailey
Lora Jane was the daughter of Thomas Walker and Mattie Hughes. Mattie died leaving five children, I think, that number is correct, Mattie Bell, Lora Jane, Cora, Hannah, and John Walker. Thomas Walker married Adaline Kelley and they had another son, James S. Walker. So many trees and graves out there have the wrong information. Mattie Bell is my grandmother and she used to talk to me about her step mother and her bio mother, Mattie Hughes. They were all very young when she died and this information just never got put out there. Adaline was her STEP MOHTER, not mother. Adaline was a Kelley.

My great grandmother was Lessie Blankenship. She had a brother, Herbert Blankenship, who lived in Alexander City. Are we related?

Randy was my husband's cousin. We never saw an obituary. Was there one in the paper?

Links to family
Hi Edith, Just want to send you a special thank you for the final link to my Grandmother Purnell Taylor Wingard and to her mother and father and to her two siblings. You linked Lula Emaline Taylor Smith to her family and I appreciate you taking time to do that for me. I never met my grandmother but I wanted to know her parents and siblings and get them linked if it was possible. She would want everyone to know they were her family. Keep up the good work. God Bless, Linda Wingard Parrish
