Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am pleased to announce that Mt Pleasant has been completely photographed. That is those stones that are visible. The photos are not posted on FAG but I check the request list against my database.

All those photo requests are most likely unmarked or illegible grave sites.

Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone.

If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.

Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.

I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.

Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.

In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.

Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.

If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.

If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.

I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.

Thank you so much for taking a photo of the Wienecke plot. Sad that they don't have a grave stone. I'm so happy to feel like I visited my great-uncle's grave. With much appreciation, Elsie in NY.

Caroline A. Shelby
Thank you for posting Caroline A. Shelby on Find-A-Grave, she is my mother. Please transfer her Find A Grave posting to me, David C. Shelby, Jr, or failing that note that her middle name is "Alta". Also, a short bio could read: "Caroline was the 6th of 6 children. On a Bank Teller's salary, she bought a Mason & Hamlin upright piano, paid for lessons and became an accomplished pianist. On her 26th birthday, Aug 25, 1926, she married a WW I veteran, David Clarkson Shelby. A lover of the outdoors, she hiked and camped in Oregon and Washington. A master gardener, the gardens that she created were fabulously beautiful. She had 2 children, the oldest, daughter Marcia Caroline (Shelby) Fossum became a computer expert; her son David Clarkson Shelby, Jr. became a career Naval Officer and Pilot. She was cremated and buried with her husband in a military grave. A lover of Mt. Rainier, her nursing home window faced that mountain when she died."

Thank you for your long & valuable history of work surveying cemetery's.

David C. Shelby, Jr.
