|Bio and Links|
I first discovered this site when I was researching descendants through one of the proven "royalty" lines. I was interested in finding where some of these individuals were buried and was hoping to visit England in the near future. |
My England trip has not panned out yet, but I did discover that I liked this site due to the fact that an individual could be personalized by adding photos, taking pictures of headstones, and adding bios. I felt this somehow draws you in closer to the person. I love the fact that you can leave notes also.
I have told everyone that I know about this site and I and some friends have been doing all we can to document some of our local cemeteries. We have completed our local cemeteries and have expanded into some of our surrounding communities. We have met some very nice people due to this project. We also post all of the local obits to FAG if the obit states which cemetery they are located in.
We also volunteer to put out flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It only takes a few hours, and, let's face it, some of these guys can use the help. They are always so grateful, and the ceremonies are always beautiful.
I would also like to thank the volunteers who take time to take pictures of headstones for me at cemeteries that I will probably never get to see. Recently, I found where one of my fathers relatives was buried, and a volunteer took a picture of the grave. I do appreciate each and every one of you!
I encourage everyone to adopt a cemetery, scour the local papers for obits, and tell all their friends and neighbors about this site. Everyone benefits!

We might want to chat, about the family line that goes back to Ireland and Scotland on the Erwin side of the family.
Marguerite Florence Erwin (1913 - 1987)
is my 1st cousin 1x removed
William Thomas Erwin (1883 - 1947)
father of Marguerite Florence Erwin
James Albert Erwin (1842 - 1926)
father of William Thomas Erwin
James Earl Erwin (1892 - 1973)
son of James Albert Erwin
Marvin Edwin Erwin Sr. (1920 - 1993)
son of James Earl Erwin
Marvin Edwin Erwin Jr.
I'm the son of Marvin Edwin Erwin Sr.
Marguerite married Thurman Beltron Waltrip and all her descendants would have the DNA match to the Erwin Clan back to the Irvine/Irving to Ireland/Scotland 1500 A.D. I'm writing an Erwin Clan book for Christmas 2014 about all of us just in case you all might be interested. With your help on your side of the family with documents and information it would help.

Thanks for linking him up with his parents. He is no relative of mine, but a distant relative of a friend of mine's. Thanks!
According to his death certificate, his name was Ezekiel Thomas and death date November 6, 1919. Best regards, Marsha

Hello Ms. Satterfield,
I thought you might like some info on Joanne Pierce that can be added to your memorial for her. Miss Pierce's birthday was June 26, 1941. She was born to Claude and Evangeline Pierce of Coalinga, Calif.
She was my mother's best friend all through their youth.
Thank you, Monica Grizzard

No, they didn't block the flowers or the "Note". So, I put a small note about what happened to him there. I will let you know if anything changes.
Take care - Kathie
