I am 79 years old and working part-time as a bookeeper. I have been doing genealogy research on my husband's ancestors for over 10 years. We made several genealogy research trips and I've walked many cemeteries taking photos. They can all be found on my website. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mcapehart/index.html. I have created memorials and uploaded photos of all the cemeteries I have visited to FindaGrave. Now that I can no longer travel I have to depend on other people to take photos for me. Many thanks to everyone for your help!|
For the past five years I have been doing photo projects in local cemeteries and am a FindaGrave volunteer. I have a severe hearing impairment and am considered legally deaf and this is something I can do which doesn't involve communicating with people. I take shears and a whisk broom with me and trim around monuments to enable me to get the best possible photo. I record all information available to me on FindaGrave. I aways welcome corrections and updates. I will respond to them as quickly as possible and will let you know when a correction has been made or additional information has been added. I also notify creaters of memorial pages when I have additional information or a correction. I believe it takes all of us working together to make FindaGrave an effective tool for people researching their families.

I saw you were asking who took the picture of their gravestone...that would be me! I took it shortly after my great grandmothers death Dec 24 1996 (the date on my camera was off a year and I didn't know it until after the fact oops)My great grandmother was Lottie Lucille Ballenger...the daughter of George & Ada (Oxley) Ballenger.

Thank you for the quick edit!

I wanted to let you know the parents linked to Felix are a generation younger than he was and are actually his son (George) and daughter-in-law. Could you please delete them as his parents. I have submitted the correct parents for Felix. I tried to send you a message through the edits, but it's not working.
Thanks for everything you do on Find-A-Grave!

I really appreciate what you are doing! I hope when I'm 79 that I can do the same things.

Wow! I just realized that you must have had to literally do some digging to find this marker. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time and energy to do that!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to look for the McPhaills three times. I don't know if they are related to Mary Phillips or not, at this time any way. Maybe later this month, I can work on that. I really appreciate the effort you put into looking for their markers!
