long family
I'm glad you replied! You know, I didn't put it in my notes and I'm seeing so much everyday; I'm not sure. It was either from a Long Tree forum or from
a grave finding site. Wait! It's the person that is taking the headstone pictures. I remember it saying that Honor's grave was behind I think Daniel's back two rows. That it was unmarked. I'll try to find it. I am having a hard time confirming relations. Have I matched the right Daniel to daughter Nancy m. Long Lewis Holcomb? I am building a tree on Carilse school was founded by Carisle Pratt. Have you studied that school? Aren't these Longs native american? Oh, please tell me that I'm not just digging in the wrong direction! I also seen an article when googling that the Long tree is the largest family tree in the world. Wish that you could help me confirm Nancy's first hushbands family. Hope to hear from you, again! Mary Lewis

daniel long
Daniel Long is my g,g,grandfather as well! I am researching the Carisle school. Trying to see if there is a connection between the school and Honor Pratt. I seen that her grave marker names her as "Otter". ?. Loved seeing the photo as Daniel!
Thank you,

I made a note of your suggestion of "Punderson" being his middle name, but the "R" is on the transcripts... and per Find A Grave guidelines, I need to stay with that. If you have any thing else to add for him, I would be most grateful and willing to add.
Many Blessings....

RE: Ashbel Colwes Hotchkiss
At this point, unless there are gravestones in separate locations, Ashbel Cowles Hotchkiss is officially located in Spring Grove, on Main Street, in Hartford. Separate "markers" is not unusual, at least in my family. I can name three family members "residing" in more than one cemetery.

Having said that, my Grandfather had records indicating Hartford and the "monument" in Spring Grove is quite substantial. I can't imagine him being anywhere else. The relatives I have with multiple markers are just that markers and not monuments. (Vacation homes, etc.)

Do you have a specific reason for interest in Ashbel? As my great, great grandfather, I have a little information about him if you are interested.

Ashbel Colwes Hotchkiss
You have indicated that Ashbel Hotchkiss's gravestone is in Bristol, CT. Can you give me more information? He is my great, great grandfather and I have a wonderful portrait of him. I have been trying to figure out where his gravestone is.

Bristol doesn't quite fit what I would have expected. My grandfather left a note saying that he was buried in the Old North Cemetery in Hartford.

Thanks for your help with this matter.
