One day when I had young children still at home and I was visiting with my mother, I got out a piece of paper and began asking her who her family was. I got her mother's maiden name and her grandmother's maiden name. About the time my daughter got married and I got a computer I started my search for my roots. I had very little to go on but after 12 years of research I now have info. that goes back about 20 generations on her side. The family I knew the least about, I now know the most about.
I'm so glad I sat down with her and a piece of paper.

Awww thank you for doing this for our veterans! It is appreciated! Do you have the 13 names available? I'd like to check to see if there are others buried at Zorn Cemetery.. on my Ancestry tree and having these names will make it quicker..
Thank you
Gerri

RE: The Miller Girls
I cannot find the pictures I took of my grandmother's tombstone. I would like a picture of hers. We have placed an order to have my grandfather's military tombstone placed. But government takes their own sweet time.

I am so sorry for taking so long to reply. I don't get on here as often as I would like. I do have pictures of my grandmother's headstone, but I have not added them. I have not been to Aunt Thelma's or Aunt Ophelia's burial sites. I would love to hear any stories you've got!

RE: Milfords
Hi Donna. John Milford Sr., Find A Grave number 41930316 and his wife, Mary Polly (Fleming) Milford, Find A Grave number 41930319 would be our link. I'm working out of a book that my cousin wrote, "Sands of Time" by Charles Patrick Milford. The book deals with the South Family and the Milford-Millford family. You may find where first cousins married each other. That seems to bring everything to a halt for awhile. The Milford's were famous for that. Take care, Patrick

RE: Milfords
Greetings Donna. My Fourth Great Grandfather, John Milford Sr. 1760-1837 is buried at First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Flat Rock, Anderson County, South Carolina. His Memorial number is 41930316. My mother is a Milford and I've been working on the Milford/Campbell family tree for the last six years. So far, I've uncovered enough stuff to turn your hair white. Are you related to the Milford clan? Take care and have a great week ahead. Patrick Campbell Sr.

San Jacinto Cemetary Prairie Lea
Hello,
I would like to get in touch with someone who is familiar with the San Jacinto Cemetary in
Prairie Lea. We are working on family genealogy and would like to confirm that a relative is buried there. We live in the Ft Worth area and are planning a trip to the San Marcos area in the next few months. Any help would be appreciated!
