I first discovered this site when I was researching descendants through one of the proven "royalty" lines. I was interested in finding where some of these individuals were buried and was hoping to visit England in the near future. |
My England trip has not panned out yet, but I did discover that I liked this site due to the fact that an individual could be personalized by adding photos, taking pictures of headstones, and adding bios. I felt this somehow draws you in closer to the person. I love the fact that you can leave notes also.
I have told everyone that I know about this site and I and some friends have been doing all we can to document some of our local cemeteries. We have completed our local cemeteries and have expanded into some of our surrounding communities. We have met some very nice people due to this project. We also post all of the local obits to FAG if the obit states which cemetery they are located in.
We also volunteer to put out flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It only takes a few hours, and, let's face it, some of these guys can use the help. They are always so grateful, and the ceremonies are always beautiful.
I would also like to thank the volunteers who take time to take pictures of headstones for me at cemeteries that I will probably never get to see. Recently, I found where one of my fathers relatives was buried, and a volunteer took a picture of the grave. I do appreciate each and every one of you!
I encourage everyone to adopt a cemetery, scour the local papers for obits, and tell all their friends and neighbors about this site. Everyone benefits!

Wanted to thank you for posting my grandparents' memorial. Miss them dearly, and to see people like you ensuring their legacy lives on makes me thankful!

I wrote you an email asking who gave you permission to put my grandma's grave on this website and you never replied. I would either like to know WHO gave you permission or i would like the page taken down or transferred to my account.

Had a request to transfer Anna's husband George Edmond Tigner (#98775516) to Michaele Harrington (47842349), which I have done, I also transferred their daughter Bessie Elizabeth Tigner (#98775809).
Could you please transfer George's wife/Bessie's mother Anna Beard Tigner (#30527147) to Michaele

Thanks, "Cuz"--that would be awesome! BTW, I contacted the lady who took or posted the other pictures, but her email address is no more.

Miles Cary Sr is my 10th GG; his son Thomas is my 9th GG. I live near Newport News VA, but cannot locate Miles Cary Sr's reconstructed tomb based on the location on the fine memorial page you have made @ http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=9702282. May I ask where you took the picture you have of it on your memorial page for him?

|J L Bryant||Bryants|
Dear Ms. Satterfield,
Due your notes on memorials, and given the amount of Bryants you have inyour memorials, I believe we might be connected (if these folks are in your lineage). Would you please contact me (using the email addres is fine..) to see how/where/through who we might be related? I'd certainly appreciate being able to extend the branches of the NJ Bryant further with your help.
Thanks ! yours, Jeff
