I have always loved the old cemeteries. My interest in genealogy has brought me back into the cemeteries to find my roots. I love helping others to discover their past and to honor and remember those that have come before us. |
Currently I am working on photographing and transcribing the cemeteries of Queens Co. and Long Island, New York. I love learning about the interesting families that lived here and I am happy to help others when I can.
Nearly all of the information for the memorials I have entered is taken from photographs which I have personally taken. In the interest of getting as many people entered as possible, I have gotten behind in adding all my photos. If you see a memorial which I have entered and you would like a photo, please request the photo by clicking the "request a photo" tab on the memorial and then drop me a line to let me know that you have put in the request. I am not automatically notified when a photo request has been made on a memorial I have created.
I welcome all corrections. I try to be as accurate as I possibly can.

|Deborah||Saint Patrick's Cemetery Brookville NY|
I'm looking for my grandparents and great grandparents who I believe are buried in the St. Patrick's cemetery in Brookville. The Murray's and Connolly's were long time members of the parish.
John Murray 1964 - 1911
Ann (Connolly) Murray 1867 -?
Bernard/Bryan Murray 1842 - bef 1925
Mary (Kelly) Murray 1845 - bef 1915
Have you come across any Murray's or Connolly's in your treks through this cemetery?

No problem, I am in the process of doing a photographic inventory of that cemetery.

Dyane: Thank you very much for updating their profiles. A relative, Bill Preston.
I just want to thank-you for the picture of the McKinnon headstone you posed back in July 21, 2010 of my great-uncle . Can you possibly put me in touch or give that person my email address to contact me for we are related. I have been doing ancestry.com on my mother's side of the family for there is so little known and I would like to know what my cousin knows.

Not asking for a transfer.
Thank you for adding him- I had him in my tree as VonNostrand- that was fun searching on findagrave!
And you have him linked to wife and son.
Wish it was always this easy. :)

Hi Dyanne! I sent you a correction for Gwendolyn Sammis. You had her as daughter of Royal Sammis but she is daughter of Aldrich Sammis. Aldrich is son of Royal! Thanks! ~Ed
|Denis Rolland||Josephine Treadwell|
I am more particularly interested in Mary de Mumm, in fact her name was von Mumm von Schartzstein, born in Franckfurt in 1915. His father was Walther von Mumm, married in London in 1913 with Frances Scoville sister of Josephine Treadwell. The Mumm family was in 1914 owner of champagnes Mumm in Reims France. Frances Scoville died in Paris in 1919. Josephine Treadwell then came in France to repatriate the body of her sister in the USA.
My question is where are buried Mary von Mumm and is mother. In the cemetery of Saint Pauls episopal or that of Senneca Kansas?
Thank you, and ecuse me for my bad english !
