Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family for over 25 years. Any photographs you find on the memorials that I have posted are yours to use on your family tree...after all, they are your relatives, too (credit is appreciated).

I am glad to transfer any memorials that are your family unless they are related closer to me or my husband.

Dear Ancestor

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Garlands in Rye Cemetery, NH
I also have a photo for a grave of Sally Garland, wife of Benjamin Garland. She died April 5, 1828 age 34 years. She didn't seem to match with either of your two Benjamins. I also found a "MWG" buried between AVG (Annie V) d. 1913 and WHG (Wm Harley Garland), 4/24-1839-8/27/1922.

I don't know why the photos posted sideways to findagrave. They aren't sideways in my viewer. Sorry. Perhaps you can save them and turn them around.

The records of Rye Central Cemetery aren't computerized at all. I looked in the 3 books of graves but couldn't find the other Garlands you wanted. I did find a listing for Mary A Garland, daughter of John Calvin and Elizabeth, but I couldn't find her grave. The book listed it as being in section 2-028.

Happy to be of help. Joan

William John Washington Moss
There is a family story that he did serve in the Civil War, so I haven't discounted the possibility. He would have been young. But I haven't found a record. Thanks for answering.

I am curious as to what source you found for his Civil War service, as I have not found the proof yet.

Thank you,

Jack D Lovelace
Smith M. Chappell #104279580
According to the Death Certificates in Washington, D.C., Smith died on 13 Dec 1917. If you look real close at the photo of his tombstone, his DOB is Dec something 3, 1917

RE: Rev Miller
Hi Beverly,

I had to look twice when I saw the marker as the intials were only there on Charles Miller's headstone. Anyway thank you for the compliment and glad that I could help.

Anna Maria Dietrich Getgen

I recently found out that Anna Maria Dietrich Getgen is my fifth great grandmother. I am having trouble tracing her parents. There are several trees that mislead me to believe that her parents were Maria Catrina Schneider and either Johann Ludwig Dietrich or Johann Adam Dietrich which lead back to Martin Stupp being my 8th great grandfather. I do not see any evidence that is true now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

RE: Worcester Family
You are welcome. I have been working on the Wilson and Berlin cemeteries for a while. I try to take pictures when the weather is good and post them in the winter.
