Genealogy has been my hobby since I was a teenager. I research all of my lines with equal passion. |
However, I have the most information on my Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle family. That is because I research all the Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle branches. Thanks to the Sprenkel DNA Project, we have learned that virtually all Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle families in this country are part of the same family. Note that these surnames are also spelled Sprankel-Sprenkel-Sprinkel-Sprinkles. One branch uses the Sprengle spelling.
Nearly all of the memorials I create or manage at Find A Grave are for people who are on my family tree. Rarely do I create memorials for individuals who are not connected to me in some manner. And, each memorial I create or manage is special to me.
Find A Grave is such a wonderful concept, and it is a marvelous resource for genealogists.
Please do not add death certificate images to the memorials I create. I feel that a death certificate is a rather private, personal thing, and it is not appropriate to display it on a memorial.
Also, please do not leave "flowers" with additional information or corrections. We contributors do not receive notification of "flowers" placed on memorials we manage. If you have additions or corrections, use the "Edits" feature.
[To Find A Grave Admin: In the case of my demise, please transfer all my memorials to my cousin Don Ludwig (#48084204)].

|RSavor||Name on gravestone|
Amos Meyers, 1815-1886 is my 4th great grandfather. However, I am having a hard time tracking down his father's name.
I see that you have added a photo of his headstone. What does William Meyers mean at the bottom? Could that possibly be his father? Or is that maybe a child who passed before him? I thought you might be able to shed some light on the writing of grave markers and another name included.

Because you made the memorial page for Harry M. Koehler 129626449, son of George Adam Koehler & Margaret Sprenkle, we thought you might like to know that there is now a photo of his marker.

|Amy||Aunt Margaret Sprinkle|
Margaret: I emailed "Little" Philip, the grandson of Margaret Sprinkle to try to confirm whether or not she is in the Sprinkle plot in Reidsville or in the columbarium at the Episcopal Church in Martinsville. He was planning to visit Big Philip this past weekend and said he would check on it. So far I have not heard from him. Did you ever get a response from the church or mortuary? Amy

|S Wheatley||Re: your message abt different dates for my aunt Pearl|
Margaret. Thanks for the interesting info you sent me abt the different birth & death dates for my aunt Pearl Sprinkle. I believe the death date on her death certificate should be the correct one in March. I remember my mom took me out of school for us to go to her funeral. It would have been in March because school was out in august. So I believe the March death month should be correct.Her and Uncle Wills stone only list their birth and death year. I found my pic of their atone & will add it to their mems. S. Wheatley. Bluemoon2256@aol.com
