Bio Photo I am a 30 year plus photographer. My three passions are photography, genealogy and Iowa Hawkeye football, in no particular order. Just depends... :-)

Because of my MS, I no longer look for graves/take pictures in large cemeteries. 1000 monuments is a large cemetery for me. However, I have done this size, depends on my legs. Just recently, and within appx a 30 mile radius of Cedar Rapids, IA, I am starting to check out all the smaller cemeteries, especially those where people have been waiting two or more years for a photograph. Be patient, I might just get a picture taken of your request. paul

Permission to use photo of Arden Wheeler
Hi: May I use your photo in a free online summary of Civil War soldiers from Fulton Co., IL for www.illinoisancestors.org/fulton. I research pension files and am trying to record all soldiers from the county along with their genealogical information. I will give you photo credit. Thank you. Janet Turnbull

RE: Robert Bratton
It was fine. I was able to read the name and dates. Please don't give up because of sky conditions. It is hard to get perfect conditions. Good luck and many thanks for your efforts.

Thank you for taking the time to place a photo of the headstone for Robert Lewis Bratton. It is a welcome additon to the tree for which you have been given credit. I appreciate your time to help those of us who live at a distance.

Gratefully,

RE: Can't we just all get along... :-)
how did you fing Porter being his father? Was it from someones tree? Was curious to see. I tried looking for Porter on ancestry and only came up with one tree. They only has Christina as a child of his.

RE: Can't we just all get along... :-)
Paul, thanks for your email. She might be nice to you but she has made a nuisance to me and some others researching this family. She was constantly writing and said that we had wrong information. When I finally emailed her back( for the first time) I just said if she would just send me some documentation so I could review it I would. I told her I did not chane things just because someone wrote me telling I was wrong. She then started calling me rude and was very irate. I probably should not have responded at all. But I was getting sick of her emails.
Do you know if she is correct that Porter Forbes is his father? No one I have been in contact has a Porter Forbes included in this family history. Can you see why I was skeptical? I tried researching Porter and his wife after she wrote to me I found one researcher but they only had one daughter...Christina who married John Baker. I don't know why she got so irate with just my request for proof before I changed anything.

I don't want anything from her. Just the truth. I've been researching for many years with over 8000 names in my family tree on ancestry. I don't willynilly change things....just because she says ut us the way it is.
Sorry uf you were drawn unto this. I was just trying to find out the truth.

Brawner photo
Can I ask one more favor? Could you please add your beautiful photo to memorial #68927680, Clair's wife Suzanne... she is buried in the same cemetery and if I copy and paste your photo, it will not give you the byline credit for the photo, which you deserve!
THANKS
