Thank YOU!
MISSISSIPPI, Harrison County, Biloxi, headstone photo of my grandfather, Felson Washington.
Thank you, and I will add a photo soon of him and his family.
Great job, going over to the segregated cemetery and adding our military hero.

RE: George Buchanan, Mountain View, Rapid City
Thanks Stephen,

So I'm guessing that as there is no picture associated with the memorial a monument was not found.

I'll reach-out to Ellen and the Rapid City genealogical society as well.

Thanks again for all the work you've put in over the years. I'm working on a Pioneer Cemetery in my home area and can appreciate just how much work is entailed.

Regards,

Bruce

George Buchanan, Mountain View, Rapid City
Hi Stephen,

I'm tracing George Buchanan a descendant of a pioneer preacher in Canada who died 28 Mar 1897 at Keystone just outside Rapid City.

I know the year of death as 1897 from a family history and records from Behrens Mortuary show a George Buchanan who died 28 Mar 1897 being transferred "Plateau to La Varne, MN" 6 Jul 1903.

Plateau Cemetery existed in Rapid City until it was closed in 1929 and the remains were placed in a mass grave at Mountain View Cemetery.

You have created a record for George's wife Anna Cecilia McCain "Mrs. Anna Buchanan" who died 22 Oct 1919 at Cleveland at Mountain View and one of their daughters Lucy Bell (Buchanan) Lewis is also interred there.

I find it likely that the memorial you created for the aforementioned George is the one I am seeking and suspect the date you have recorded is the date he was interred at Mountain View.

Could you shed some light on what sources you used when recording Mountain View?

Regards,

Bruce Gordon

Schnepp
Hi I am from a Schnepp that I think this family is from but no proof.
1- Donald F. Schnepp was from Iowa.
2- His mother is listed on the Calif. death list as McKinney.
3- There was a baby, Catherine Schnepp born and died in Missouri. Listed on the death certificate is John Schnepp Iowa and wife McKinney. But she was taken back to Nebraska to be buried.

Now to my knowledge, all the Schnepp's in Iowa and Nebraska are from the same family.

What I am in hopes of is you being one of them. Please would you contact me. I have a Schnepp family going back to 1731 with loads of Rev.War Vets and who knows how many other war vets.

Thank you.
