I am sorry to hear about Kathy's passing.
|Penne Magnusson Cartright||Kathy's Memorials|
Thank you Ken for doing that. Yes the memorials have been transferred to me. Kathy and I talked of this months ago. I will take really good care of them for her. I am sorry to hear that she passed away, but she will be missed by many!
|P.K. Magruder||Parents for Jacob Joy|
I don't link to burial unknown. This IS a grave registration site. Parents are listed in the biography.
of where on Cape Cod a person is buried please check this website .
you will have to do it cemetery by cemetery to be accurate.
But if you are lucky you will get a "hit" by doing thus for say Hester Rider
enter this in your web browser search box
If that comes up with nothing search each cemetery- he has them all listed in date order.

Hi Ken,There are NO Eldreds buried in Ancient Cem.You should KNOW where your relatives are buried before you put them on Find A Grave.Thanks Bill
|Cathy Sexton||RE: Eldred|
I went over to that cemetery this evening. Looking (just in case). I saw Samuel next to Moses next to Moses' wife, Marthy. I don't know where Samuel's wife is though. Was there a reason you thought she was there? I'll be watching for her in the other nearby cemeteries...she has to be some place!
|Sandra Lennox||RE: Rider Family|
It was not a matter of how quickly you responded
to the fact that your memorial was a duplicate.
It was the fact that you decided to transfer the memorial to another cemetery after I had pointed out to you that your memorial was a duplicate.
That made no sense to me.
You also added memorials to Burial Hill without
any documentation that those people were buried there. You cannot just put memorials of people into cemeteries without knowing if they are actually buried there or not. It is not fair to the descendants who are searching for their ancestors, and it is not accurate.
There are millions of burials without memorials, I
don't know why it was so important to you to add
"Rider" memorials, one which was a duplicate and the others that had no documentation of burial at Burial Hill in Plymouth.
Most cemeteries have resources of their burials.
This should be checked out before memorials are added.
If I can help you out in any way I will.
|Paula Mine||Fairmount Cemetery|
The information from http://plymouthcolony.net/weymouth/cemeteries.html give 1795 as the 'beginning' date of Fairmount cemetery. I will gladly look in the cemetery for graves, but I don't want to go on a wild goose chase as there are more than 10 cemeteries in Weymouth, and to just assume the burials are here is not really good policy.
I can tell you that from records of graves made in the 1950's by Waldo Sprague, I see no Burrell's or Burrills in the dates you are looking... The ones listed seem to be the mid to late 1800's. I check the records of Old North, and there is nothing there for that name that old.. most are also mid 1800's or later.. and looking at Fort Hill cemetery, which is near Fairmount but in Hingham, I also see only later dates on that name variation.
Perhaps you could try Deb Sullivan at the Weymouth Hist. Soc. to get a better idea of where these Burrills are buried? http://www.weymouthhistoricalsociety.org
|Carl Hoffstedt||Aaron Goodrich|
Family links for Aaron Goodrich have been made. Thanks for the information.
|P.K. Magruder||Linking Jacob to Simon Joy|
I will not knowingly link to a burial unknown. Simon is mentioned as Jacob's parent in the biography.
