Of course, Leslie!! Would I ever let you down? :-)
|Jeff Harvey||RE: Daisy|
Yes, I looked it up and I did take the pic of HER stone, but his is not there. They're all on the same plot. Bummer :-(

Hi Leslie my relationship to Ruth Bardo . She is my 1rst cousin 3 times removed. Is your husband related thru the Bardos ? Christine Brown
You're welcome. I'm getting cabin fever. So, when the sun came out I told my wife, I was going for a drive and see if I could find anything. The stones were right on the edge of the road so, I jumped out, got the pictures, and quickly got back in the truck. I like the summer photos but the ones with a little snow are nice too. Barry
Hi Leslie, this is some trivia, and just meaningful to me. Minnie Burkholder owned a 2 story house at 921 C Street in Eureka. On the same property was a very tiny house that she rented, at one time, to my grandmother - Nellie Williams - # 62135250. That address was 925 C Street. I spent hours upon hours at that little house (which had a Murphy Bed in the front room, behind glass french doors, no fridge, just a "cooler" on the enclosed front entry). I remember Mrs. Burkholder, and her wonderful flowering cherry tree that was planted so that it was seen from my grandmother's front room window. Not in my family tree but definitely from a very memorable time in my life. :)
Quickie FYI: There are several records which can be compared to verify that Minnie's maiden name was Taylor. Minnie died as a widow with the surname of Burkholder and she had not remarried after the death of her husband James. But since there was a straggler record there with the possible mother's maiden name of 'Webster,' I thought you would wish to have that record for your own records. A female individual can only have one 'mother's maiden name.' Unless there was a maternal scandal, that is! So many Burkholders, aye? Aye! Hey! That would be two 'ayes' there! (Forensic joke with a nautical twist!) Lee F. might have been born before James and Minnie got married. I think he was. Hopefully, Lee wasn't very good at math!

Dear Leslie: I was glad you found the information on Minnie helpful. Please also see all the information I have gathered (and continue to gather!) on Minnie's husband James G. Burkholder and her son, Lee F. Burkholder, both linked to Minnie's memorial. I have added a lot of information today after some thorough research. Kind regards, Bridey Light, Humboldt County, CA

The dates would seem to fit, but I can't say for sure without further research. It appears that the Burkholder name is part of your family???
