|Like many Americans, I am a mutt. And proud of it. Down through the generations, I am the result of two people's love, not caring what their nationality is. My lines go back to England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Norway and Sweden. Oh, there's a little Holland in there too. :-) I have direct lines that fought in the American Revolution and the Civil War. I also have direct lines that migrated as late as 1905.|
I became interested in genealogy a few years ago when I went to the Scottish Games in my area. Since then, I have been hooked!
I consider it my own personal "treasure hunt"!
Because of being familiar with monuments, in the business for 15 years, I enjoy taking requests for photos of them. Have been doing that for a few years, now.
I have found many memorial pages of my family and have added my photos to them. The only time I have requested a transfer was when I knew the info is inaccurate. Which has only been twice.
So that's me, in a nutshell. I do have one question for anyone reading this.
ARE YOU RELATED? hehehe
PS You may use any of my photos in your own personal trees.

I have searched my records and all avenues I have for Northern Ireland and I can't locate your Arthur Johnston/Johnson. There are a LOT of Johnston/Johnson out there (kind of like the Smith's). I spent September in counties Antrim, Armagh, Down and Derry taking photos and looking for more ancestors. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck with your search.
All the best.

I just read this message that you posted back in April...thanks!! I think I fixed it!!
|Ann Hughes||Elizabeth Huntington Backus|
Thank you for providing the photo of the headstone for Elizabeth Huntington Backus. It is so easy to overlook these little children who don't have a bio to research.
Hi. I found a marriage record on FamilySearch for Maltby Howell and Letitia Young, married 2/16/1809 in the First Dutch Reformed Church in Albany. Couldn't find them on the 1850 census which would have listed names. I put Maltby as the possible father's name on both memorials. Thank you!

Thank you so much for checking on this family. With the history of errors you've found on the transcript, I put the "suggested" information on the memorials with a note about the conflicts. You're a blessing!

|Allison Clausen||Abiel Bugbee in Albany Rural Cemetery|
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I do not have any other information about his burial but in any case I do appreciate your time and effort. Thanks again - Allison Clausen
Thanks for trying to get the picture of her stone. She was listed in the cemetery transcript, but a findagrave visitor suggested that she is buried in East Greenbush. Maybe she was moved. I'll try to contact the cemetery office. Thank you!
