Fallen Graver

Sadly, Twist has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.

Bio

Hello.

I am in Michigan. I am not related to 99.999% of my entries, but have added them with the hope that other researchers who have come to a dead end may be helped. With respect to those entries, I have no other information available as I have tried to include as much info as I have.

In your communications with me, please be gentle. Remember, these memorials do not magically appear. Rather, I am a volunteer who has donated my time and considerable efforts willingly - to help those looking for a piece of themselves, a bit of history. I set up memorials as accurately as I can, research folks, visit cemeteries, work with old records and cemetery caretakers, clean off markers with decades of built up dirt, take photographs and update the memorials with new or different information. I am proud of my work, even when mistakes are made - and they are. I do not respond well to demands or demeaning messages telling me all the things I haven’t done, all the things I have done wrong or that I am not meeting your standards. A simple word of thanks or appreciation goes so much further than a list of your complaints.

PROCEDURES FOR LINKS, ADDING OR CHANGING INFO, TRANSFERS:

If you seek a transfer, please be sure to include your relationship to the person who is the subject of the memorial. I cannot respond to transfer requests for all memorials with the same surname in a cemetery or to requests for a large number of memorials with the same surname.

If there are entries which need to be linked, please send the info to me via the correction/EDIT option or Suggest Edits link just below the Memorial number and I will add the links. Also, if you would like me to add information to a memorial, please forward the relevant info via the Suggest Edits option for the quickest response.

If there is information in a memorial concerning a living person which you would like removed, please send me a request via the Suggest Edits option.

PLEASE DO NOT send transfer requests, relationship links or additional information for memorials via the public messages option. I do not make changes sent to my profile page. PLEASE USE THE SUGGEST EDITS options to decrease the possibility of error.

OBITUARIES: Find A Grave has updated its policy concerning the use of obituaries in memorials (See: "Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?" under the Frequently Asked Questions section). If you send a request asking that an obituary be added, please be sure to confirm in your message that you have complied with the policy or I will not be able to add it.

Generally, I do not link to unknown burials. Nor do I add raw US Census or similar records, preferring instead to add information in sentences.

Many thanks for the kind notes, thank yous, flowers and tokens which are left on the memorials. It is rewarding to know that my work has helped someone.

Thank you.
