IMPORTANT NOTICE: Over the years I have left hundreds of memorial notes on Confederate veteran's FindAGrave memorial pages, using the Confederate Flag as a symbol. Recently I discovered the flag had been replaced with flowers. If you see one of my memorial messages left on a memorial page with flowers instead of the flag, please notify me so that I can make the appropriate changes.|
Sons of Confederate Veterans Compatriot - Camp No. 1921 - The Tallassee Armory Guards.
Please feel free to use/share photographs and other historical information I've posted to memorials.
The Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society has endorsed FindAGrave and as a member of that society I have visited many cemeteries and added graves/memorials on its behalf.
I manage several hundred memorials in Chambers County, AL that Hank Rogers transferred over to me before he became inactive with F.A.G.

Thank you so much for the wonderful obit. you sent to me. I just have one question, It doesn't say just where she died. Did she dye in La. or Winnsboro, Tx.?
|Liz Brown||RE: Infant Slay|
Thanks for the feedback. I thought the same thing based on the time frame. I've not been able to locate any Ben Slay other than a black family in that area. Are you also related to the Slay family?

Thank you for taking pictures of their markers.

Thanks so much for Anderson's obit. It is so useful.
I must have gotten distracted when entering his children. I can't believe I didn't list George who is my great grandfather and his brother, John. Thanks to your post to me I can correct that oversight.

Thank you for all the work you do adding the obits and other information. I have lots of family from Lafayette and I really appreciate the extra info!

I didn't want to do a correction edit on this one before running it by you. I know you got her dates from another person. I just posted a photo of her stone. The years on the stone does not agree with theirs. Also, I believe her husband is William Christian Hines. It's up to you what you want to do with this. Thank you.

Ok. I wasn't sure if you were aware of it. No need to let me know. Have a blessed day!
|Paul Bartley||RE: Ida Mae Kelly Memorial #13663480|
Thanks, Don. My inexperience is obviously causing the confusion. Please forgive me. I knew you could link a child to a parent but incorrectly assumed you could remove a child from a parent's memorial. On that assumption, I sent the request to you because you had created Brady & Susie Bartley's memorials. At the time I sent the requests to you I was unaware that the Ida Mae Kelly memorial had been voluntarily transferred to me. Now that it has, I will take care of the matter. Regarding your other good suggestion, I had already contacted Mr. Strozier and he was glad to make the addition. I apologize for needless bothering you yet thank you for the information and your prompt reply.

You are the contributor of Nancy (Daniel) Greene's memorial (incl. John Greene's memorial). I had transferred their memorial to you. Some time back I had requested a photo of Nancy(#80744829) and incl. her 1st., husband's William Giles (#80708456), buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Stark, Butts County. Donnie (#47149694) is the contributor of their memorials. Requested a A F.A.G. volunteer could "not" find where they were buried in Macedonia. Nancy Giles name is mentioned in her father, Frederick Daniel's will.
