During the summer of 2010 I began to research my biological family tree. It has been extremely addicting! |
I have found I have 15 ancestors that were on the Mayflower-
4 Brewsters: Elder William Brewster, my 10th great grandfather and his wife. Also two son's Love & Wrestling my 9th great grand uncles.
4 Fullers: Samuel Fuller my 9th great grandfather, and my 9th great grand uncles Edward Fuller and William Fuller. Also, Mrs. Edward Fuller.
3 Eatons: Also Francis & Sarah Eaton my 9th great grand parents, along with their infant son, Samuel, my 8th great grandfather.
4 Billingtons: My 9th great grandfather Francis, his parents Eleanor & John my 10th great grandparents, and my 9th great grand uncle, John.
My lines also cross twice and I recently found out that about 437 years ago I have direct ancestors in common with my husband.
I am also researching my sister's father's Duffey ancestors and my brother's Personett(e) ancestors.
I am a special education teacher and I'm married with one son and a step-daughter.

Nevermind- I found his death certificate. I know where he is. I can't guarantee he has a headstone, but I'm 100% sure of which cemetery he is buried at in Lower Yoder- St. Stephen's. If you want to edit the burial location on his memorial, this link will take you to the correct cemetery so you'll know which one I'm referring to:
This was also known by several names but it was also referred to as the Slavish Cemetery and has mostly Hungarian names including many Juhas/Juhaz/Yuhas. There are very little of the interments in here that have memorials created for them so this is one of the main cemeteries I've been working on to fix over the last year or so.
Hope this helps!

If you don't mind, could you e-mail me the death certificate? There is a lot of confusion with the cemeteries in that area. St. Columba's was referred to as "Lower Yoder" which was primarily Irish Catholic, but so was St. Mary's which was primarily German Catholic. Plus, St. Mary's went by a third name, Immaculate Conception. Only a chain link fence separates the two cemeteries.
There are also other (at least 3) cemeteries that went by the general name of "Lower Yoder Cemetery" that is nearby these two which were for primarily Eastern Europeans. I know it sounds confusing, but these multiple cemeteries going by the same name has led to duplicate cemeteries being created as well as duplicate memorials. If I can look at the DC it might clue me in as to where he actually may be. There's a chance that he's not even there but in one of the other cemeteries. It's up to you- just a thought...

You're welcome :) It was back in 1997 that I chalked Elizabeth's stone and read it. Feel free to add the transcription to the main part of the Find A Grave entry.

Always a pleasure to help out.. Thanks for the opportunity.
I just found the link on your Bio page, no I just put the link in for you to see. The photo was taken by a Boy Scout, that's his name in the link. Josh Lakenan. email@example.com
|Jeff Phillips||RE: Whetham, Theodora|
You have me stumped, the name looks familier. If I took it I posted it but I cannot find in Riverside or Mountain Home, do you have a link to it?? I only post photo's I take. I can't even find that name it the transcriptions.
|Jeff Phillips||Whetham, Theodora|
Here is a link so you can see a headstone photo for Theodora. AKA Theo B..
|Jeff Phillips||RE: Peter Schuur|
You are welcome, just so you know I added Henrietta & William Sr. Schuur. Don't know why but they had two headstones, one was flat & covered with snow which I found Saturday as the warm weather had melted most of the snow around here but we are supposed to get 4 to 8 inches more tonight.
William Jr. was on the back side of the upright Schuur Monument.

Glad to be able to help. I just happened to drive by and stopped to see if I "stumbled" across any of my family, and just by chance, checked for photo requests, and there was Emma! Good luck and happy hunting!
