Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Name is Ronald A. Sykes, Sr, and have been working on my family History for over 40 years.

Any additional information, adding bio's, changing .or adding names, dates and location can be done, without asking me, by hitting the edit button.

With the new system of FaG, I OK the links, and changes, without question. However, this also means, I may or may not have linked or corrected memorials.

I am more than happy to any correct a problem, or link family members. As far as Transfer goes, please look at the rules set down by Find a Grave, before asking. I will take a look on a case to case basis, but normally follow those rules. Demands from, or rude people are always ignored. If you would like credit for something added, either put it in the bio section, or let me know and I will add it for you.

I normally make all requests within 24 hours. If not, don't worry, I will get to it. Sometimes, I take a day off, too.

AGAIN. I follow the rules of Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case to case bases. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.

You My permission to use any of my Headstone photo, for your personal use.

Do I have your permission to print your cemetery photograph for my book on The History John and Mary Harvey Family, 1800-1871? I would be listing you in the acknowledgement next to the photograph.

Wash Cockrell Memorial 5759050
The Memorial setup for Wash Cockrell has Birth & Death Dates as Unknown. I was hoping you could tell me did you create this Memorial because you saw a Headstone or from some other document.

If Wash Cockrell's full name may be George Washington Cockrell (1864 - 1903) he is my 2nd cousin 3x removed. His father & mother are both in Reed Cemetery also: Robert C Cockrell (1829 - 1908) #131473399 & Rebecca Williamson Cockrell (1845 - 1930)131471830

Judy Welch tried this month to take some headstone photo's for me but she says "There are stones that are barely legible and then there are stones that time has completely erased". Of the stones I have seen from this cemetery they are very tattered and many buried deep in the foliage. I would suspect someone has already created Memorial's for the stones that were visible in the cemetery, and many other family members from this same family could not be found.

I'm hoping you can clarify what triggered the creating of Wash Cockrell's Memorial. Thanks for any help you can give me....lookyoo

RE: James William Smith
My Smith's stem from Isaiah Sr and Isaiah Jr. - Henrietta Smith, daughter of Jr. married Gwin Summers and then Marion Hammond (this is where I come in) and then a Mullins. Will be happy to share whatever I have.

Re: Louis W Smith request, Roselawn, Baton Rouge, LA
These photos did not come out that great, but, I will be back out there to get something better. This area was busy this morning with 2 services in the close vicinity of this plot. With that and the threat of rain today and throughout this next week, I was in a little bit of a hurry. I will be back out there and dig these out and get better photos.

In this plot are
Louis Edward Felder 1896-1966
Grace Kugler Felder 1897-1979
Craig Joseph Guercio 1959
Louis W Smith 1902-1941

The 2 Felders are behind the large Smith marker but are in the same plot.

James William Smith
Thank you for calling the duplicate marker to my attention. I have deleted one of the memorials. Yes he was married to Evelyn Mullins and was the father of Mitchell Allen Smith, Gloria Anita Smith and Victoria Denise Smith. Mitch died from brain cancer. I also did a little updating on the Smith family. Evelyn later married Frank W. 'Sunny' Bennett. Thanks again and happy day.
