Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from breeding and showing Balinese cats. I am a Christian - Republican - live in Georgia with husband, two cats, two sheltie dogs, and have two grown sons, and two grandchildren.

My most enjoyable interest are: Animals, Genealogy, Religion, Ancient History, Nature, Music (classical, Folk, 50's, Religious), Gardening, Walking, Cooking, and being with my family, pets, and friends.

I love looking up people I never knew and reading about their lives. When I am called to Heaven, I am sure it will take me hundreds of years to meet all of the wonderful people listed on FAG. Thank goodness Heaven is eternal!

FAG is such a wonderful and everlasting way to pay tribute to our families, friends, celebrities, and those we never meet in life.

I want to thank each and every one who have left flowers and tributes to my loved ones. It is deeply and sincerely appreciated. Thank you so much LAURA for the memorials you left for my beloved pets. My heart is touched and I love you all.

Hannah V. McDowell Rupert
The "V" in her maiden name is referenced in several U.S. Census records. I have never come across what it stands for, however, my educated guess is: Viola
Like the name "Hannah", the name "Viola" was quite popular in the early to mid-1800's, especially among the early settlers of Pennsylvania, a good number of whom emigrated from various parts of Germany.
But, the "V" could also represent her mother's maiden name, which was also a common practice in those days, particularly among Mennonite families.
However, I believe Hannah has carried the secret of the "V" to her grave!
Best regards,
Jim

Just sent you links for Leah, Philip, and Adam Rupert.
Tried to link Adam's wife, Hannah, but it said you already had a link request from "DJ" so it wouldn't let me do it.
Thanks for all of your help!

Prayers
Please keep my family in your prayers following the loss of my uncle Franklin Rogers, who passed away yesterday from cancer. If you have time I would appreciate virtual flowers for his Find A Grave memorial 128627148. I am very blessed to have my friends on this site. Thank you,

RE: Rosezella
Oh, now I know who you were talking about. She was a special person. Probably related in some way as we are finding out. Between Bensons, Floyds, Coodys, Wynns so on and so on. It has been an incredible experience. My sister and I recently visited Hawkinsville and Cochran and some cemeteries cause we did have a lot of family there. Not as much anymore, but I'm not getting any younger, either. My song today is "God be with you til we meet again". Thanks for your response. B J Benson.

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Bullock children's grave
Not sure if I have asked this question before, but do you by chance know where the 5 children of Dr. James Monroe Buchan are buried, they all died in Dec 1870 from meningitis, he introduced legislation in Oct 1870 to name Dodge County when it was newly formed and the children died that December.
Not sure where he was living at that time, I have since found where he lived when he moved to Eastman. But I have read that the children were buried in a mass grave.
Thanks for your help

I like to thank you so much for sharing beautiful and historical man whom is my 8th generation grandfather. The more I read about him the more amazing stories of him creates an inspiration for him. I hope someday to visit St. Mary's city to experience and see the kind of activities and life he had led. I really want to find out more in his homeland too. This is Desiree' ladydes7@hotmail.com if you like to share or send a message.
