Bio Photo My mother, Corine Carter began researching our family in the 1950's (Canoga Park) and I began helping her in 1973.

I am so very thankful for all of you who take photos and share them with everyone! Photos validate research and give it visual reality.I believe in sharing all photos, so feel free to use them.

This photo was taken steps from where we live at Sunset Beach, Oahu.

re: Lonia Ophelia Boggs Bearden
A very belated thank-you for letting me know about my great-grandmother's parents being buried at Sardis as well. It has been a few years since i've visited the cemetery. I have linked her parents to her listing. Thank you!

Thanks for catching the error quickly. No harm/ no foul. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had to send the "whoops, never mind" email!

Larry Robinette
In the same gravesite of Lawrence Robinette, who is right beside his parents, are two more Robinette infants, one just listed as an infant Robinette, and one listed as a boy Robinette. The records show three separate burials.

Leota Keller - Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park
Leota's daughter, Katherine Francis Smith's death record on the California Death Index stated her mother's maiden name was Allen and her father's surname was Lenson. Also, on Katherine's birth record in St. Louis, Missouri, it stated her mother's maiden name was Allen and her father's name was Henry Lenson.

RE: photos
You're very welcome. I wish I had had more time to search out all the graves---3 out of 9 wasn't a very good return. Hope you all are prepared to suffer through another winter in paradise!

L, Roy Ross
L. Roy Ross memorial # 41115336, Liberty Cemetery, Linville, Union Parish, Louisiana.

I notice that you had a good bit of information on Mittie Mae Roberson. I do understand that the information may not have come from you, but another source. But thought I would check with you anyway.

You listed Mittie's first husband as L. Roy Ross. I am trying to get a bit more information on him. Could the L. Roy Ross of your memorial have possibly lived in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana before he met and married Mittie.

I noticed that his memorial information has him born in 1904, which is the same year as my great uncle. If it is the same person, Lee Roy Ross was born 24 December 1904, not in Mississippi, but in Texas. The family moved to Mississippi by 1907, when my grandmother was born, then on to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana by 1920 census.

Any information would be a great help.
