Congratulations on the great tribute to Thomas Maxwell.
I wanted to provide you with some information regarding his daughter, Anna/Ann. She married my 5th great grand uncle, John Dever, in Madison County, Kentucky in 1799. I have a copy of their marriage bond, which was signed by her brother, Bezaleel. It was the second marriage for John and it may have been the second one for Anna as well. If you'd like a copy, I'd be happy to email it to you.
John died in 1825 and Anna passed away in 1827 in Madison County, but I have not been able to find their graves. In addition, I believe John was in Dunmore's War and the Revolutionary War with Thomas Maxwell and Valentine Sevier. If you'd like to link Anna to her find a grave tribute, it's at # 142728555.

In 2003 the grave was not marked. I will be in the area August 11 & 12. I will try to get more pictures.

|FHD||Maj. Charles Gordon|
Maj. Gordon is buried in Fort Defiance Cemetery. In 2003 I photographed his headstone. The stone is on the very back of the cemetery, on the edge of a deep ravine. I have not been back since then, it could be that the stone has fallen into the ravine. My scanner is down, when it is fixed, if you would like a copy of the photo, I could send you one.
