RE: Capt. John Taylor
Hi Barbara,

Thank you again! So now I found a real question, and also a curiosity.

First, do we know who is the wife(s) of John Taylor I? GEN1 in SC, 1749? I have read a fair bit of speculation, and possibly a Lucy? What might you have found?

Second, it has been a while since I have looked at this part of my family heritage, and looking back at my original sources "John Taylor + Descendants" I did happen to notice that Col. Thomas Taylor (son of John1), has a son named Henry Pendleton Taylor?

There is also a Taylor family that settled in North Carolina. They are in another part of my family heritage and I remember there is a Taylor-Pendleton marriage in Virginia. I believe these families were closely allied in VA. If so, then how did our Col. Thomas Taylor (SC) end up naming his son Henry Pendleton Taylor?

Makes me wonder about Virginia, and who is the parents and Gparents of John1, 1749?

RE: Capt. John Taylor
Thank you for the response. AND the correction on Capt. John's wife - I have it correct in my own stuff, but flipped the sisters when I just entered the Find A Grave memorial. ALL CLEAR NOW. Thank you very much. Confusing enough as it is.

This is the majority of my research material had come from:

"John Taylor and His Taylor Descendants"
Author(s): B. F. Taylor
Source: The South Carolina Historical and Genealogical Magazine, Vol. 8, No. 2 (Apr., 1907), pp. 95-119

It was a great foundation to begin with. Although dated I have found very few minor errors. Will be in touch if I have any more Q's.

Black-Eyed Billy

Any thoughts on his father Capt. John Taylor II? Or mother? I have Billy's brother Simon Taylor (# 94237696) who traveled down to Louisiana.

Where their parents might be laid to rest?

RE: Josiah Stewart and Epsie Bedenbaugh Stewart
Their daughter, Emma Frances Stewart married David Reeder Senn. They had George Comer Senn, he married Estelle Katherine Kibler and had my great grandmother, Dorothy Louise. She married John Willie Bessinger. They had my grandmother, Mary Frances Bessinger. Dorothy is still living in Arlington, Texas, my grandmother passed away in 2008. I don't have much on the Bedenbaughs or the Stewarts. I haven't done much research on that side. I have been wanting to but I keep procrastinating because my other family members contact me about other lines. You are the only one that has contacted me about this line. This may be my inspiration to get some done on this line.

I transferred he and his wife to you since you are the closest relative. It was inactive when I got it and tried to update it.
