Thank you for trying to get this photo. Your right, the stone is almost unreadable and that is a shame.

RE: Owen Fee
OK. Will do. How did you find out that the U.S. marker was placed in 1938 & Removed Jan. 1, 1943 at request of daughter from New York City. Is that in the cemetery office records? MFS

Owen Fee - Find A Grave Memorial# 117658361
Hi Mattheew & Chrissy,
My g grandfather's brother is Owen F. Fee, for which you have made a memorial (Memorial# 117658361). The history of this gravestone is interesting. Back in the 1930s, a relative applied for a veteran's headstone for Owen. It was delivered to Holy Sepulchre Cem. but it had the wrong death date on it. Owen Fee died Nov 9, 1881 (11/9/81). The stone carvers switched the numbers for Owen's date from 11/9 to 9/11. That stone was never placed. You might also notice that the document for headstone application has all the info check-marked except his death date. My father & I finally obtained a stone for Owen in 2014 with the correct date on it. He now has a memorial in Find A Grave (Memorial# 65158574). I just thought you would want to know this information. ~Mary Fee Spacher~
