Hi, I am Billy .......|
(Last updated 16 Dec 2012)
Due to my Dad's death, I have taken over my dad's work on the Womble Family Tree. The Family tree goes back to the 1600's when the Wombles(Wombwell) came over from England to Virginia.((( Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Thomas Wombwell who settled in Virginia in 1648 ))) Sometime in the early 1700's the Wombles move to Edgecombe County, NC.
Edgecombe became a County 1741
Nash become a County 1771
Wilson become a County 1855
These are the 3 main Counties for the Womble
(The early years) ....
John Womble b.1756/d.1821
OFF of John William Womble b.1837/d.1904:
There are very few "Womble" (name Womble) left in Edgecombe County from the blood line. There is a lot of, next to kin, still there farming the home stead.
The Family Tree is not just of the Womble but it goes in all direction. You can follow the links I made on Fine A Grave. My dad did not take pictures of any headstones. SO, since I am out there anyway, why not take pictures of other headstones.
The County I will be going to is Harnett, Johnston, Wilson, Nash and Edgecombe, all in NC.
These are the main Counties.
I made this line for family members who would like to trace their family ancestry.
I prefer you to send me information on Find A Grave Memorial. Once I know there is an interest on that person, I will add the information and add some other information that I can find and sometimes I will start a family member search.(Trace their family tree) I love doing this and I do this for free.
Please do not ask for a Transfer just to own it.
Please add or contact me if you have family photos .......

Hi Mr. Womble,
I am wondering if you have any written proofs that connect Isaac to his father, Nathaniel? Of Nathaniel's many wives, I am trying to determine his parents for certain. Any information you might have would be helpful.

Billy, I am a granddaughter of David Robbins and would like to have some info added to his find a grave site. Is this permissible? and how would I do this if it is? Would love to get or give any info that would enhance my genealogy study on the Robbins family. I do have quite a bit, but always welcome more. Would be glad to share my stuff with you also. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org and my tree on ancestry is called Allinone if you want to view it. I have lots of photos on it.
Blessings, Pat Alsup Montgomery
|Eugenia Wade||Rowland Wiggins Family Bible|
I am related to Rowland Wiggins and was wondering who or where you gained access to for the info accredited to his Bible. I would love to get in contact with whoever has it so that I could see it or possibly make copies of some of the pages. Thanks for any help you can render.

Hi Billy, I just noticed that Annie Ruth Woodlard is listed as Junior Cora Woolard's daughter(53448949). Annie Ruth Woolard is my aunt and is the daughter of William Paul Woolard and Bessie Anna Woolard. William Paul Woolard is the son of Junior. Thanks so much for your work. |Clifton Pyle||While searching my family roots I found this.|
As a kid, when I used to go stay with my aunt and uncle, Fred and Mary Owens, I heard the name Womble many times but never knew who they were. This sheds a bid of light on the subject. Is there a way I can link this to my ancestry search? Thanks.
|Karen||Lillie Mae Godwin Mayo|
Hi Billy, just wondering if you could add Aunt Lillie's info from Evergreen Memorial Gardens. She is buried beside Donald Emerson Mayo who you've already entered in findagrave.
Thanks so much,

|susan long||Searching for Womble Info|
While searching for Irvine Franks Womble's grave information, I ran across your name. Irvine's cousin, Mrs. Robert H. Long, who is mentioned in his obituary was my husband's mother, and we are trying to find out more about the Wombles in our family ancestry.
Any information you can provide would be most appreciated.

Your Find A Grave Memorial # 104365529 & his wife Edna Mae Eason Pittman # 104365572 are correct. However, there is one person that has created two more for Billy only #128084550 & #128083170. Could you please consolidate them for me. I am working on my ancestry in which is a huge database but I am so thankful for the work that is being done on Find A Grave, but actually able to deal with another large database.
Edna's parents are Edward Albert Eason & Mary Belle Pinkington both are buried in the Crocker Cemetery, Pine Level, Johnston, North Carolina, United States

The memorial # listed in my question is 1 digit short. Correct # is 83862161
|Cliff Wiggins||Rowland Wiggins Bible|
I have an independent document given to me in 90s which clearly is derived from "Rowland Wiggins Family Bible" text shown at Memorial# 8386216. Much of the text is nearly identical. Do you have source information about the bible or the transcription. Rowland is my GGG grandfather.
