|Christie Trapp||Horace Black - Betsey Joy Black, Old Burying Ground Cemetery Putney|
You posted a wonderful photo of Horace Black and Betsey Joy Black's family. Could you also post on Betsey's memorial as well and include the same caption from the Horace Black entry.
What a wonderful find! To find a photo in a garbage can in California, which is as far and away from Vermont as you can get. Wonder what made him pull it out of the trash?
Horace's wife, Betsey, is the daughter of Comfort Joy and Patty Radway. Comfort is my 2nd great grandfather. Patty was his first wife, I'm from his second.

Hi, I found the obit on this fellow. It was in the Ludington paper June 13, 1906. It is on the memorial you maintain. It supports the date of death in your memorial. Sandi

Thanks for Mothers first name.
Thanks for all of the updates that you have made.
Do appreciate. I have been off line for a couple of days as our server was down. Should be back up and working sorry I took so long.
|Grace Younglove Hudson||RE: Edits oh so many|
I did photograph the whole cemetery in 2012.
However, I had a computer crash and lost about 500 graves. I donít know which area I lost and I never got back to find out which ones I needed to redo. I think someone from Monroe Historical Society is working on that cemetery, at least that is what I have been told.
I know they are trying to get all of Monroe County read, as the cemeteries have not been done since 1980. I offered to help in the spring. I have been trying to get all of the graves read in Oakgrove before there is nothing left to read and Maplegrove as well. I volunteer at the Dundee Old mill so this will help us help people who are doing genealogy research in Dundee.
So thanks a bunch for all the information that you are contributing.
|Grace Younglove Hudson||Edits oh so many|
Thank you so much for your time on sending me all the edits and updates and corrections. What a big help that was. Thanks also for the clear memorial pictures that you posted. Sometimes my guesses are not good enough, like my body my eyes are getting old, but I don't want to quit.

Thanks for the obit on Mary Hunt. WOW what a great bio on Andrew, sounds like he was a busy man
and a real help in developing this area. Thank you so much for taking the time to send this information to share on find a grave.
Have a great Genealogy day.
Thank you for the transfer.

Thanks for your help on that first name.
It bothers me when women don't have a given name.

Hello. Re. Carleton Hawkes; find-a-grave memorial #77236599.
Please update the information on Carleton and his wife Hattie E. Smith and his second wife, Hattie B. Lingo. Hattie B. Lingo was married first to Albert [aka Elbert] Ernest Waite; they had children Menerva (1900-1900), James (1901-1940) and Tadie R. (named for Hattie's sister) b. about 1904. After the death of Albert Waite, Hattie B. married Carleton Hawkes about 1908 and they had children: Carleton Jr.; Howard H.; Clark E.; and Gertrude M.
Therefore, Carleton Jr. is not Hattie E. Smithís child. Thank you very much! And thanks for all your contributions and dedication to preserve history and help others.
James Waite is the line I am following. If you need documentation references Iíll be glad to give them to you.
Sincerely, Arlene (#47141910)
