Bio and Links
Bio Photo I find this website most useful and hope that entries I have made will be helpful to someone researching family.
If you happen to see an error, please be sure to inform me and I will be only too happy to make changes. Also, if you see a member of your family and wish for me to transfer them to you, I will do so, gladly. Anything I post is yours to use if you like.

This website has allowed me to make many new relationships, one of which is my "photographer" (WD) who makes lots of trips to his local cemeteries for me. I am most grateful.
WD, Janice Cathcart and I have teamed together to document as many Tattnall County cemeteries as possible. Working with these two make this a relaxing pastime.

RE: John W & Minnie Alexander
Well, what I was trying to determine is whether this was the same John W found in Jacksonville in state and federal censuses 1930-1945, and just in the last few minutes, I believe I have confirmed that it is. He is remarried to Margaret "Maggie" Roberts and living with them in the 1930 census is nephew Andrew A Alexander with wife Ruby. This tree http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=DESC&db=bpepper2050&id=I12784 shows John W with a brother Ben who has a son Andrew Allen with a wife Ruby whose ages match, so I am convinced it is he - I just don't know his date of death or location of burial. If I find this I will let you know. Thanks again for your reply and all of your work on the Tattnall cemeteries.

John W & Minnie Alexander
You have a note on Minnie Alexander (#64221707) about John W Alexander's birth and death dates. Do you mind sharing whatever information you have on him, and where you got his birth and death dates. Also, do you have any information on where he died or is buried? I am trying to determine if this is the same John W I am researching. Thanks! And thank you so much for all of your work on findagrave, you have helped me find a ton of information!

Harry Downs
Hi Dottie!

First I thank you and all the others who have added info to this site.

I am a decendent of Jesse Melville Downs, and I am looking for information on Harry Devotie "Voty" Downs, one of Jesse's children.

Is this the same person that you have entered info for whose birth was unknown, who died in 1931? He was married to Mamie Leigh Malone, born in 1906 in Bulloch County.

Thanks so much for any info you could supply.

Sharon
