Bio and Links
Bio Photo Looking for all 13 children and their families from Patrick William Corcoran and Emeline Amanda Alley. We are hosting a trip to Huddersfield, England 2011, County Mayo, Ireland 2012 and Lawrence, TN 2013. Richardson--in Carroll County, TN 2014. Hunter--in Arkansas 2015. We need everybody's help to follow our families trails!

We have over 14,000 family members with surnames of Corcoran-Hunter-Richardson-Zook-Moseley-Downing-King-Crowley and many more surnames on And, over 12,000 family members on my maiden name side--Seifferlein and Leyes families from Germany to South Bend, Indiana. Besides our German heritage we claim French, Austrian, Swiss and Prussian royalty.

My mother, Elnora Lydia Seifferlein Leyes, has spent 74 years researching genealogy of our direct line. She traveled to Europe seven times to gain stamped records from the archives. She went to the Morman Church in Utah before computers many times, to fill in missing family members dates and places.

Our line is much more complete because of her extraordinary efforts, starting with her grandmother in the 1940's and taking notes and using her newly puchased box camera to record family events.

Mom inspired the whole family to continue her work forward. I have taken many of these documents, newspaper clippings and photographs and placed them both on and here on Thank you mom for inspiring us and seeing the value in preserving our heritage!

We made a contribution to The Ellis Island Foundation--"The Wall of 700,000 Immigrants"--for Patrick William Corcoran's name was unveiled July 2011 in New York City. We paid for a headstone to mark his grave on Laurel Hill in April 2011. These two commemorate our first Corcoran family in America. We have a 9 generation wall chart. We are working on a book. We will share our GEDCOM file.

These lines included 3 European Royalties--Kings of England--Egbert, Henry I and Edward I. The famous Benjamin Crowley in Arkansas, are in our family, as well. We also have stories of our very poor families living in one room houses who were cotton mill workers, who never owned the house or the land beneathe them. All of these make our lines "colorful" and fun to explore! Migrations are mostly from NY>VA>NC>TN>AR>AL.

We believe genealogy should be free so living family members can connect. That's why we are adding some of our data here. We appreciate this site's opportunity, and we humbly thank the founder and his staff. Please give generously to this site to keep this tradition going.

Love hugs to all of my fellow genealogists who are so extraordinarly helpful. This is truely one gigantic puzzle that we spend thousands of hours on together. God Bless each and everyone of you for your humble part in preserving our sacred past! Thanks for being so nice and helpful.

I added the Old Bethel Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.

This Baptist graveyard is abandoned. It has one half Alley-Ashmores buried there. The stones are now illegible. If you have any knowledge of the people buried here or any photographs please share!

I have set up memorials for Gladys Sprague's parents and have linked them to Gladys. Thank you for your suggestion.

BTW, I originally sent this message to your e-mail address at earthlink, but it bounced back, just as happened last week.

RE: Larry Leonard Powers
Hi Wendy - I am happy to transfer anyone related or not just let me know if there are others you would like.
I am sorry I can no longer hunt cemeteries due to health problems. I really miss doing that.
However I did find Maxine's obit and she was cremated.
I hope this helps.

Just curious if you ever tried to contact the cemetery regarding Sarah and any other family that is buried here? There is a photo of a contact number and address posted on the Upton cemetery page.

Hi Wendy,
The headstone was buried, not broken.

Re: Burgess,Brush, Sensabaugh, Burkett, Ogg & McKimmy

I just made the connection to: James Stephen Burgess. It's thru Clifford William Brush & Eva Burgess son James Rowland Brush who died in Gladwin County, Michigan. His GCR obituary can be found clicking on this link!

Note: I have tons of Sensabaugh information & see you have a Bunch also. Note: Ransom William Burgess who married Loa Ellen Ogg. Loa Ellen (Ogg) Burgess had a Brother Edwin Steven Ogg who married to: Phoebe F. Burkett a sister to (our) Aunt Lottie Burkett McKimmy wife of Uncle Paul Edward McKimmy.

RE: Thank you for Bernard Henning # 141059746
Oh yes, we do have snow... I took the photos for that cemetery in the fall. There is also a stone for Clayton Edward Henning that is in a lot better shape. I will try to make out what I can and can back in the Spring to see if I can capture more detail

RE: Thank you....
Wendy...unfortunately, Helen's photo was deleted once I posted on her husbands memorial. I take several hundred photos daily, weekly, that once I post one the original is deleted to save space. We will go to Riverside again soon and I will gladly take her headstone and pleasure. No, I did not notice the other relative but will ck if it hasn't already been claimed. Best Wishes for a very Happy, Peaceful Holiday won't forget...Roberta

RE: Thank you for the headstone photograph....
Wendy & John,

You are most welcome!
As you see, I did find Mary, as well as a baby, Melford, buried at the foot of her grave. Hazel & Georgia are Melford's parents. All the graves are in the same row, I just did not go far enough east to find Mary on the first trip.
Blessings to you and yours this Christmas Season!

RE: Mary Childress
In Section 8, lot 182 there is no marker for Mary. There is a marker for:
Georgia M Childress (27 Oct 1902 - 25 Mar 1980) and Hazel Childress (25 Mar 1900 - 11 Apr 1985)
The Cemetery has a record of her burial, but there is no marker on grave 3. Hope this helps.
