|I grew up in the town of Carmel, Penobscot County, Maine, USA. I became interested in genealogy around 14 years ago. After a long hiatus from researching, I began to delve back into my family trees about 2 years ago. A friend of mine found this web site a couple of months ago and told me about it. |

Hi, Karla ~ as it's the anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh, I went looking to place a token on Major Powell's grave and saw that you have added family members in Bingham Cemetery. Thank you so much for you kind effort!
A couple of Powells who descended from Winfield Powell lived in Carmel. I think Norman Powell died a couple years ago, but still has one living brother close by (there was a third brother Stanley, but I think he is also deceased); he had a son David who moved away and, I think, a daughter, but I can't recall her name.

Thank you so much for the great job. Many of her descendents have been looking for just that! I went to Newport and tramped all cemeteries trying to find the lot and didn't realize it was in Carmel. Do you happen to know her daughter's married name?
Thank you again.

Karla, Thank you for the picture of John, it was so nice to find his stone I's looked for it but was never there when the office was open. Wayne

You are welcome. I am not to far, 1 mile. My grandmother is in Calif. and someone put her on and I love it because I am so far and can not get to her grave.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I'm looking forward to adding the information to my tree. Thanks for your help.
