I was born in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK where my husband jokingly says that I thought Noah's Ark had landed. |
For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.
I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.
If I have created a memorial for a member of your family, who isn't related to me, and you can add a biographical sketch I will be glad to transfer it to you. Many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so. I will not transfer in mass numbers.
An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, Cagle, & Love ancestors & kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.
Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:
1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.
Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi! Been a while since we talked. My family and I are making a trip up next weekend and trying to see what we can. Could you point me in the direction of the Hodge plot in the cemetery? Thanks for all of your help with my Boles side, since they are in the same cemetery we thought it'd be good to visit all the graves we can.

Brother & sister Earl and Aline have been transferred to you. How great if there were more monuments like their parents with the children listed! Yarnaby is such a quiet peaceful Cemetery. Only Don's first cousin & wife are buried there. Nelda Kirk

Thank you. Her father was the brother of my great grandmother. Thanks for posting.

I am happy to be of help - however, Henry and Minnie had more than 3 children - I just mentioned those three because they were in the obituary. They had five altogether - the ones shown on Henry's Find A Grave page:
Ruth Holderman Heiser (1898 - 1920)*
Mary Holderman Wallis (1901 - 1971)*
Marion Sequoyah Holderman (1902 - 1975)*
Covel S. Holderman (1905 - 1972)*
Geneva Holderman Humphrey (1908 - 1944)*
The youngest, Geneva, was my uncle's first wife.
Hope this clears up any confusion.

I will see what I have on all the children of Ezekiel and Ella.
Are you on Facebook? If so look me up and we can stay in touch much easier that way.
