"What good is genealogy if it isn't freely shared?"|
This is my lifetime indoor sport. You are invited to visit my home page. Additions, corrections, and constructive comments are always welcome.
William and Frances O'Daniel of Stafford County, Province of Virginia, are my fifth great-grandparents. In the early 1700s, they lived on Accotink Creek in that part of Stafford which became Prince William and then Fairfax County in 1741.
Brick wall: Who were his parents? What was his wife's maiden name?
I have been proactively researching my family's paternal and maternal family lines for over 15 years. Family lines include O'Daniel, Daniell, Daniel, Daniels, Baker, Burgess, Butts, Cannon, Casady, Clements, Cook, Cooke, Ditmore, Herlihy, Pearson, Raiford, Rice, Rowan, Swanson, and many more.
I will happily transfer memorials to direct line descendants or to family members more closely related to individuals than I am. Edits and additions to memorials are appreciated.

Yes, that is a very thoughtful and informative bio, thank your for including it.
I noticed U referenced "Freestone Frontiers" from 1859. I have a personal interest in reviewing that era of publications and was hoping that I am lucky enough that U can tell me where to look.
Just a shot in the dark but in genealogy, sometimes that will pay off big, sometime not.

Thank you for the kind words concerning my daughter and for what I do for Find A Grave.
The way I see it is just because someone is gone doesn't mean they should be forgotten.

Don't know if you have ever been to Cosgrove Cemetery or not. In 2009 my daughter and I and eight others went to TX, met up at a local motel, located the cemetery (which has long since been abandoned) and had a wonderful time tromping thru the brush and photographing what headstones were there. So sad that several only had sandstones as markers. That is how the one grave that I went to find was marked. Some of the people did have a brush hog come out the following weekend to clean up the cemetery and I believe they have since had the cemetery designated as a historical cemetery and it is now kept in better condition.
It was a wonderful trip "digging up bones" so to speak - made some nice friends while there.
Keep up the memorial for William in good faith.

I wanted to let you know that I found I had, unintentionally, made a duplicate memorial for Charles Early, as the original contributor had misspelled his name. She had it spelled Earley. I have sent an edit to Find A Grave, and am deleting my memorial, after moving my gravestone photo to the original memorial.
Since you had left a nice flower/note, on my memorial, I wanted to let you know, so in case you would like to go in on her memorial #21359576, and leave a message.

Is that the Russell Daniel that grew up in Greenwood, SC? He is now a retired anesthesiologist. Thanks, Eddie Brown
